I am receiving the error shown above whenever I select SSL for the incoming and outgoing servers. I have tried other e-mail clients (Thunderbird, emClient, Opera Mail) and receive an error stating that frontier's servers don't support SSL. Anyone have any idea how to correct this? I contacted frontier, and the tech there knew less than I do. If I de-select SSL for both of the servers, everything works fine. I did find on frontier's website that they only support SSL during login and the connection is not secure after that.

Does Frontier Yahoo! Mail support SSL?

Frontier Yahoo! Mail supports SSL
for sign in only. Once you are signed in, the session is not conducted on a secure connection.

Thanks for any help,

Hi:  Wanted to clean up all my contacts and start from scratch.  So I deleted all the contacts I could manually using the "delete" button under the Contacts Tab.  That worked great.  Then I went into my Live Profile and Unfollowed or Unchecked all my social media like Facebook, Skype, etc.  Now I have 53 contacts left which have no email listed by them so I don't know where they are coming from.  I know when I log out of Windows Live Mail they go away.  How can I get rid of them??  Thanks Dave

OT: Error code 0x800CCC90.

Windows livemail is continually showing error 0x800CCC90

Mail Is imported into my Livemail account, but all other accounts will Not import e-mail.

Each account is continually asking for a password.

The only way I can access mail is by going to my ISP homepage.

The problem occurred after the latest Windows update on 25/26 November 2014.

Repairing all Windows Live Programs although successful does Not cure the problem.

This problem has been around for over a year now, so why can't Microsoft fix it.

This is most frustrating.

One of my neighbours has the same problem.

Maybe it's time to ditch livemail!!!!

Have now had my Nokia Lumia 520 which has the 8.1 Cyan update, got about 2-3 with everything associated with this update, but was disappointed that there wiz no Cortana or file merging, had the other update m, so am still. waiting for these goods et......

My Deleted Items folders (and some others) appear to hold no more than 14 messages.  After that number is reached, the older ones disappear.

Also often I can't open a message - I get the alert "The contents of this message cannot be found." when looking at it in the preview screen, and if I try to open it I get two more messages:  "A problem has occurred while trying to open this message"  and "A problem has occurred.  Please try again."

Trying again does nothing.  The messages where this happens aren't all from the same person, and it doesn't happen every time from any one person.

Live Mail was working okay for a year or so, but then started acting like this.  Messages that are older (restored from my old computer) seem to be okay as far as opening them, but still disappear if I put too many of them in Deleted Items.

A couple of weeks ago I tried for forward an email that had an attachment to it.  Since then I've been getting the following error message, only applicable to this 1 email.  Everything else has been going through ok, but I can't get rid of this error message.  I've deleted the actual email from everywhere, but this thing still pops up.  Getting very annoying.  Thanks for your help!

Any type of email I attempt to send goes straight to outbox and reads send/receive error.

Emails are coming in and signal is strong.

Hi Community,

On 24 Nov, I upgraded Windows Live Mail 2007 to the latest version (packaged under Windows Essentials 2012). Downloaded and installed wlsetup-web.exe.

Since then any programme under Essentials refuses to open (Mail, Writer, PhotoGallery, MovieMaker).

Tried the following many times and on various dates: repair, uninstall+reinstall. Still refuses to open.

Also installed all the Windows and Microsoft recommended upgrades.

I can see that every time I try to open the above programmes, a number of logs are created under the following directory: C:Users[user]AppDataLocalMicrosoftWLSetupLogs.

Tried to make sense of the logs, but couldn't find a clue what may prevent WL from opening.

Perhaps some clues can be found in some of the logs:

Does anyone have any clue what went wrong?

Googled and searched the community forums but didn't see a clear solution :-(

Many thanks in advance!

Hi

I recently noticed that it takes a long time - sometimes up to 37 hours - to update Windows Live Calendar with information from .ics subscriptions. As professors at my university reschedule courses as late as 12 hours before they should take place, this makes the Calendar app (subscribed to my university's timeschedule) very unreliable. Is there a way to either increase the refresh rate of the subscription (to at least once every twelve hours) or manually have the subscription updated?

Thank you in advance for your reply.
