There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.

I have WLM2011 Vista. I noticed this error started occurring sometime in November.

I have tried a new outlook account.

I have tried renaming the calendar folder.

I have checked the calendar at outlook.com.

I have tried the offline switch in both WLM2011 and IE 9.

I have entered a calendar entry in both the client WLM2011 and online in outlook.com.

They do not get synced to each other.  I still get the error.

Email and contacts sync is ok.

I have updated windows update.

Any ideas? I cannot update to WLM2012 because I am using Vista.

Just want to know if there is a way to set an out of office alert and message in my email

I removed my email account on Windows Live Mail & forgot to back up my emails. How can I retrieve them again?

[Original title: Windows Live Mail]

I have set up an additional new account in Live Mail (because I need one with a local domain name). However, I cannot get past the anti-spam character recognition dialog whenever I try to send an email to anyone other than Microsoft. All input is rejected as incorrect whether incorrect or not, and the alternative 10 digit audio thingy won't run at all.

Is this a known bug?

I did send a reply to the Outlook team because that was allowed through but naturally I don't expect a response.

Dave.

PS. Build is 14.0.8089.0726 and this PC is Win7Home x64 OEM.

The much Microsoft increase the security more vulnerable it lucks like. After accepting the suggestion to make harder for hackers to get access to my account I discovered that it's harder to me now and not for hackers. I think that my account was hacked now. Good job Microsoft!

Hi

I use Live mail and I circulate emails and information to members of a club to which I belong.  I have noticed recently that these emails are not reaching the club members.  I caught on that Live Mail is not taking my Group email list and sending emails to those in the lists.  I have recreated several  groups but the situation pertains.  I have set about individually entering email addresses into the contact group and then saving but the save doesn't work and the listing remains as was.

How do I get Live Mail to send my multiple addressed emails to those I want to send to or is there an easy way in which I can transfer all these contacts to a group in Outlook and use that to send multiple emails.  I getting really fed up with this.  It only started some couple of months back - was this as a result of some Microsoft upgrade which has messed up things?

I welcome any assistance on this matter.

I have 8.1 installed, Windows Live Mail and have two email accounts set up.  One with ATT Yahoo and the other with GMAIL.  As of yesterday I still receive messages but can no longer send messages.  I had not sent any messages for a couple of weeks but was able the last time.   I have tried forwarding and creating new messages under both email accounts but get error messages when trying to send.  I have also tried to change outgoing ports from 465 to 25 on both accounts and changing from secure to non secure.   Have also tried with the firewall turned off.  I can use both email accounts from my IPAD on the same in home router.

The error messages are:

Any suggestions?

Windows Live Mail would not open so I deleted it (along with other programmes in Windows Essentials) and downloaded a new version from the website.  This downloaded OK but when I try to open it I get a box as follows -

               Windows Essentials 2012

To use Windows Live Mail view and accept the Microsoft Service Agreement.  You will get updates for this and

other Microsoft programmes from Microsoft Update.  The software may also download and install some updates

However, when I click on 'Learn more' or 'Accept' I get a 'Windows Essentials 2012  -  Not Responding'  message.

How can I get around this so I can get back to using Windows Live Mail?
