Question about Outlook Express

Hi,

Cloned my existing HHD 300gig to a larger one 500GIG. It seems that the issue happens when you try to do this. Every thing from the clone seems to work okay.

I am having this issue and can not find any recent answers to the problem.

I have looked through many older responses to help solve this issue and some have links to various solutions but many of them are no longer viable.

The most promising solution seems to be to download and install latest  Intel rst. I searched and found this: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProdId=2101. I have no idea which one of these might help to solve my issue.

If anyone out there can help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it!

I have just opened an account. I can receive emails okay but I am struggling to send any.

SMTP Port 25.

It says my SMTP server might need to be configured.

Where do I go to do this and what do I need to do?

try to install windows live mail via wlsetup.exe that was downloaded today.

0xd8004069 is received every time at about 53% of the install

anti-virus was off and so was firewall.

selected just live mail

windows 7 professional with all patches up to date

over 500gb available

I just bought a new computer with windows 8.1  I installed Windows Essentials and am trying to use Windows Live Mail 2012. I would like to know how I can delete messages. On my last computer (using Windows 7) I was able to delete individual messages by clicking "delete" I could also delete multiple messages by using the shift key and the down arrow. Now nothing happens when I hit the delete button.

Follow up note: I actually have two email addresses that I use. My "@msn.com" address won't let me delete email, however, I am able to delete messages from my "@comcast.net" email.

Hello.

Two weeks ago my e-mail service suddenlystopped working. A logon popup said my email account was locked because someone tried to log on with an incorrect password.  I was advised to create a new password.   Using the new password, my e-mail began working again. But now, after 3-4 days it has rejected the new password.  I can neither send or receive email.

When I log onto e-mail now, I get an error message that says:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Verizon account. An incorrect password was entered.
Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR[AUTH] Authentication failed
Server: 'pop.verizon.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port:995
Secure(SSL): Yes

I'm sure the new password, which had worked for several days, is entered correctly.

I would appreciate any help you can give me to get my email working again.

Dear friends, I need your ideas and help, in downloading my Window's Live Mail Folders.

Some folders can open where I can download the file, others I get "Message cannot be found"

the files do not move when I click them, only "Message cannot be found" appears? I recently

had a new hard drive installed,  the original, was damaged. A backup was performed, and all

data was transferred to the new hard drive, including most programs, etc. This problem has

been on going, even with the other hard drive. I have the files on my folders, but cannot open

some of the folders, while others can be opened? My system is "7"  - Outlook Express, and my

E-Mail program is Windows life.

I tried downloading Window's Live Help program, but did not receive any results to correct

the problem. Why can I download some folder files, while others seem to be frozen in time,

including the "Message cannot be found" try again later? You suggestions and ideas on

helping me resolve this Window's Live Mail folder problem, will be greatly appreciates.  Please

Some images are not showing up in my incoming emails.  

I have already gone to Options then Security Options and Unchecked the box next to  "Block images and other external content in HTML email".   So this is done.  BUT some images still do not show up in incoming emails.  

Any suggestions?

I had a problem opening some of my email messages.  I received the message "windows live mail a problem occurred while trying to open this message".  Per this forum, I ran the procedure to clean the Mail.MsMessageStore file.  After running the procedure, I cannot open mail.  I get the message "Windows live mail could be started etc.  Code (0x800C0155.2).  I then ran the procedure to repair all Windows Essential programs.  I still have the problem.
