OT:Error message when compacting folders.

The last time WLM tried to compact my folders, I got the following error message:

The folder is currently in use by windows live mail or by another application

Searching on this forum, I found someone with a similar problem and tried the fix outlined here but it didn't help.  :-(

windows live mail won’t function; uninstall can’t be done but I need to re-install it!

windows live mail program is not functioning on my wife's laptop... when trying to run it, we get warnings that the wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll are missing... when I attempt to uninstall it, it is not listed in the 'remove program' list, yet when we try to reinstall it, we're told that it can't because portions are already there... I've tried the uninstall from cmd parameter option, as well as the wlarp.exe suggestion, but with no results... I actually copied the "Shared" folder from my laptop to my wife's, which then re-created Windows Live Essentials in the control panel uninstall list, so we uninstalled it that way, but when we try to reinstall it, we still run into the same problem... 

Any suggestions, anyone??

I am trying to re-install live essentials, but the downloader keeps telling me I have the latest version when ifn fact it is not installed. Nothing appears in the remove a program area, so there is nothing to remove, but still cannot down load.

When attempting to download my mail in my MSN Information without error and will not let me login.

My Main Email Has Been Hijacked – Can’t Reset Password (READ)

Hi Microsoft

My main email account along with some of my gmail accounts & my Skype account all been hijacked. I have no clue how this happen as there's no spyware/virus threats found on my PC.

Only thing I can think of, this all started when a random person added me to skype and I accept. I said "Hi" and no reply. Few hours later my email accounts where hijacked.

I tried resetting password but the hacker, change all Info and enable 2-step verification. 

I contacted support and made a few tickets they all give me copy/paste answer. I got old of another forum of microsoft support, and this person help me reply to my ticket with Info to prove ownership and to let them know that I can reset my password.

I've gotten more replies today with copy/paste answer telling me to come here, I swear they didn't bother to read my reply with prove of ownership ETC.

Whats the point of making tickets regarding my Issue, If all I get Is copy/paste answer and forward to here.

Here Is my latest reply.

"Hi Escalation Team! I really need to have access on my account as soon as possible. I already submitted the validation form multiple times and this did not work for me as the two step verification is turned on. I can scanned a copy of my ID to prove my identity.  Also, I am attaching the latest response from the account validation team for your reference."

I am experiencing this issue for sometime now and still no resolution. Let me know what else you would need from me to help you manually validate my account so that I can provide it to you as soon as possible. I need this account very urgent. I have already reached Microsoft Account Chat Support Team and they are the one who advised me to Escalate my issue to your department. Please I need this urgent and thank you in advance."


Also, I like to apologize for my latest reply, as I didn't know that my last 3 emails from you guys were of different ID numbers.

OT: Microsoft Essentials (Windows Live Mail for Windows 8).

I have been trying for a while to get help with my Windows Live Mail.  Up until a month or so ago (possibly since I did an update) my mail hasn't been working the same.  Before, after I deleted an email it would then drop it into my 'deleted' storage folder.  Now when I delete a message, who knows where it goes?  Now, I have noticed it sometimes does drop a deleted message randomly into my 'deleted' storage folder, but not many and certainly not all my deleted messages.  Weird, I know, but I would really like it to all happen the way it used to ie; once I delete an email I want it to go into my 'deleted' storage file.  Please Help!!!

If you have forgotton your password, how do you access it so you can get going in receiving LiveMail?

When I log onto LiveMail and click F5 to call in new e -mails, I get a window titled Login-ATT (my name) which wants my User Name and Password. I believe I know my User Name but, apparently, have forgotten my Password.

How or where do I go to get my password and, possibly, to change it to one I will remember?
