When I open my 'Windows Live email account" I keep getting a popup message "We have noticed some unusual activity in your account.Your action is needed to make sure no one else is using your account.

To continue click OK.'

If I click OK, I am taken to a web page that looks like a Microsoft page asking me to confirm my account name and password, this site looks a bit suspicious to me, and therefore I am reluctant to sign in, incase somehow someone is after my password.

Is this a proper message from Microsoft, or should I be careful and how do I remove it?

Thanks for your help.

Hello:
Windows Live Mail 2011/Win 7

Is there a way to create/set to remove/delete e-mails automatically after a number of days, ... i.e. 7 days' accumulated e-mails? Because, there are three different PCs/Win 7 on the PC table and I'm unable to keep up with all e-mails coming to in-boxes of three different PCs. On reading those e-mails is I depend on only one PC/Win 7 while other two PCs is sitting for 'back-up' purpose.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Original title: Continue getting error messages

Windows 7 computer

Using the suggestions given by att and in some  community articles has not worked.  I continue getting the following messages.

Unable to send or receive messages for the lockehouse account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Server: 'pop.jps.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): Yes

Unable to send or receive messages for the Eklund Engineering account. The connection to the server has failed.

Server: 'pop.jps.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10060

The first error message is for the default account; the second for a sub-account.  The default accounts works sometimes.

So here's the deal.

I use Windows live Mail with widows7.

When I go to my contacts, I find a contact listed under Social Network. I don't belong to any Social networks.

When I try to delete the contact it won't let me. I can only add it t5o Favorites or copy it. What I want to do is delete it, but I can't figure out how.

When I send an email and click on "To" it doesn't show up.

Anybody have any ideas.

Thanks

Frank

Hi,

I am using Windows Live Mail as my client and synced it with my gmail webserver.

If I open any email that has an attachment (The inbox view shows the paper clip), I am unable to see/open the attachment.

The attachment is there with the email (I can open it using gmail open on a web browser) but when I open the same email in the Windows Live client, it just doesn't show me the attachment.

Thanks in advance

I have two line view selected for viewing the message list pane in Live Mail. The messages are overlapping and the message title in obscured.  How do I set the view to display the entire message title and sender info?
I tried to log into a university account with windows live that I have not logged into in over a year.  However, it looks like windows live mail has vanished.  I added an outlook.com alias but I need to retrieve mail from my windows live account.  Is there a way I can view this account or at least transfer it to the outlook.com alias?
I sent 14 emails on Jan 11th... all to separate addresses, all blind copied to myself.  All 14 appeared to have been sent as they appeared in my "sent" folder (and not stuck in the outbox), but I have yet to receive any of the 14 blind copies to myself!  I need to know they have been received and these are not people I can just phone and ask, as they are business related not personal friends.  Please help!!  Where did my blind copies go to??  How can I be sure the recipients received my emails??  Thanks...

I had an Office 365 account, and had a bunch of people associated to it. Now that the account is closed, I can't go to the site to export them from the web. (D'oh!)

I've still got the listing of people in my people hub on my tablet, so is there any way to export the people I have in that account, and then import them into my Live account? Or is it just that I will have to manually recreate each of the people I want to keep?
