When I try to open a Word attachment in Windows Live Mail 2012 I get the following message.

"Word experienced an error trying to open the file".

"Try these suggestions

  • check the file permission for the document or drive
  • Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space
  • Open the file with Text recovery converter"

How do I fix this that I can open my word documents in my email without saving them on to my hard drive.

FYI when I recently tried opening a document I clicked on "always use this when trying to open this kind of file"

Thanks

I Have a little problem with my company Pcs. 100 PCs dont have Office and that users have windows live mail like email client. The situation is that we need configure an security certificate to encrypt the messages. Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013, not problem, even outlook express, but when I want distribute an AD policy, to Windows live mail does not works.

I have about 11 email accounts set up in my Windows Live mail.

Last week I noticed  the inbox of my busiest account (a Hotmail account) suddenly went quiet.

After some searching I discovered a fold called "Unwanted", where all my mail was filtering to.

I deleted the folder in live mail, on the webmail and also on my phone.

Within minutes it was back and receiving mail.

This is NOT my default account.  I made sure that the senders and their domains were not blocked as Junk. I have other Hotmail accounts on this Live Mail and they are not creating this folder, only the one account.

I am at a loss as to what to do.
