OT: Live Mail - new computer - missing folders.
I am running Windows Live on my new Windows 8 laptop. Is there a way of restoring my saved Mail folders which have not loaded? My previous laptop was damaged, my hard disk was saved so I still have documents etc but not the Live Mail ones. Grateful for any help please.
Can I download and install two versions of Live Mail (2011 AND 2012) on my PC and use them alternately?
Will they conflict with each other?
I want to compare them and the best way is to actually see them on my PC.
Thank you
I am having a strange problem. My log-in into windows live account is good but live mail/outlook.com gives me a terse error:
"There's a problem signing in".
There is no error code available with the error message. Just a link to report to Microsoft which I already did. Someone replied and redirected me to post my issue here.
My hotmail.com email address was set-up to forward emails to my gmail account. However I was regularly using my Skydrive volume via desktop app. I was receiving forwarded emails normally till Dec-2014. Last email forwarded was on 4th Dec 2014. I only noticed the issue recently and when I tried to test yesterday, the sent mail bounced back for both primary as well as aliases with error "mailbox unavailable".
I have already tried the following:
1) Enabled two factor authentication. Installed the app on my mobile phone. Login approvals are working fine.
2) Tried switching primary/secondary aliases in the account settings. No luck. All aliases are currently set to allow login.
3) Tried all other webapps (Calendar, Skyrdrive/OneDrive in web browser, Office Webapps) and these are all working fine for me.
Any pointers on how to to get my @hormail.com email address restored?
Thanks/Mazhar
OT:Windows Mail.
Need assistance! I have Windows Mail with Vista. My outgoing email is getting stuck in the Outbox with an error message : Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F My inbox is just fine and receiving mail.
I have Windows 7 and use Windows Live Mail, part of Windows Essential 2012. The print icons in Live Mail suddenly stopped working and I can no longer print emails. All other Live Mail functions work OK, I can send and receive emails, etc. I have used Live Mail for a long time and successfully printed emails prior to this problem occurring. My printer works fine, I can print Word documents and pdfs.
I have tried the following, with no success.
* System restore, to the earliest restore point shown, which was probably before the problem occurred.
* Uninstall and reinstall Windows Essentials
* Repair Windows Essentials
The only changes to my PC have been the regular windows updates.
I would be grateful for any help on this issue.
