I can send or receive email directly from my Hosting Webmail but I cannot from Windows Live Mail.

The Webmail Host has told me that the Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC90 is a Microsoft issue and not theirs.

I have repaired my Live Mail and that has not worked.  I have also removed the email account and then added it again.  Both suggested solutions have not worked.

I still get the same error message.

Are there any other solutions?

Cheers

After the KB2434419 Live update on my computer on 3/15, I was no longer able to access my contacts.  I am using Vista.  I signed on to Windows Live Mail on the internet and it looked as though my contacts were restored.  However, when I tried to use one that I frequently use, it was still missing.  The only emails that were put back in were old ones that I no longer use.  All of my newer contacts are still missing.

Then I tried a different import not signed on to WLM.  Now I have three of each old contact, but still none of the recent ones I have been using.

I normally did not sign on to WLM, which explains why my new contacts are not there.

Is there any way I can get my important contacts back?

Is there any way I can get rid of this update?

I had problems before with updates for WL, so I avoided them.  This update was done accidentally.

Thanks

Pam

I just purchased a new pc with 8.1 and had all my info transferred by a reputable computer service from my laptop (windows 7).

Everything transferred efficiently except Windows Live Mail. My contacts transferred, but not my 3 e-mail accounts.

I added the 3 accounts with the correct POP and SMTP (all of which are tampabay.rr.com). I can send e-mails from all 3 accounts,

but can only receive in to 2. My default account does not receive e-mails.

Any ideas?

I suddenly started being unable to send emails with Live Mail.  I was getting the message Server Error 530 Authentication is required before sending.  I called Time Warner tech support.  I was able to send my self an email from the time warner site, so TW tech had me update my account info and my server address and port numbers and said it was an issue with Microsoft.  Now I cannot send or receive email and I am now getting a message that says

Unable to send or receive messages for the (redacted) account. The email server returned an error.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: * OK IMAP4 server (InterMail vM.8.04.01.13 201-2343-100-167-20131028) ready Tue, 17 Mar 2015 21:17:37 +0000 (UTC)
Server: 'mail.twc.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC90
Protocol: POP3
Port: 143
Secure(SSL): No

I checked the info I put in the account for the server address and ports and it matches what is on the
Time Warner site.

Windows Mail kept requesting for mail account password even the password is stored with the mail account.  This only happened to some mail accounts but not for other accounts.  What could be done to solve this problem?
Host Brighthouse says all is ok on the end. Microsoft says they don't service windows live anymore. Just started a few days ago. when I hit the send rec button it takes several minuets for it to finish sending and then nothing is sent.

I just installed Live Mail on 7 Home Premium with a single pop3 account (and a news server), and it gets new messages correctly both when starting and when I select "send and receive" (F5). However, the timed automatic "check for new messages" function fails every time. It returns an error panel without any details - merely the absence of a tick or cross against the entry - and WindowsLiveMail.log contains just a single line or entry for each occurrence:

[09:37:14.47] 08d8                 Mail:            Zone_MailChk ERROR: (spengine.cpp:1035), failed with 0x80004005

I have tried adding a second pop3 account and in such a case the first account to be checked returns the error while the second account completes successfully.

Is there a solution or explanation for this?

I opened my Windows Live Mail 2012 today and when I click on Email Message I get the following error below. I have tried to fix Windows Live Mail 2012 and also have uninstalled and re-installed it. I still have the same problem. I cannot find anything on the web that can assist me with this. Can you provide help?

I have been using Windows Live Mail software for years now. Suddenly, today, I get a pop-up message when I try to send emails. It states that I don't have a Digital ID, so my message won't be saved in my "Sent" folder. It does it for ALL messages I try to send.

I only changed one setting yesterday (or the day before). I unchecked "Remember Password", so I have to log in every time I open the software. NO OTHER SETTINGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED. I had my settings this way when I first got the software and this message never popped up.

While writing this, I actually followed through with sending an email and it gives me another pop-up message stating that the recipient's Digital ID is missing.

1. Why is this suddenly happening?

2. Why would an individual personal user (not a business entity) need to purchase a Digital ID?

3. Don't tell me to re-check "Remember Password" as your resolution to this issue, as I tried that and it still does it after I closed and re-opened the software. It may require a reboot of my computer, though as I probably closed and re-opened the software after I unchecked "Remember Password" yesterday and it didn't do this until after I booted up my computer today.

4. Don't tell me to get a Digital ID as your resolution to this issue.

When I delete an email from my desktop, the same email is deleted from my iphone... and vice-versa!

What's going on?
