Whenever Windows Live Mail fails to send a message, it will display an error message explaining what's wrong. If you can't work out what it means, click on it to select it, then use right-click to copy it and paste it into your reply here. Someone will be able to tell you what to do once we can see the entire error message.

This is the message I am getting: (any advise?)

I'm running Windows 7 with Windows Live Mail 2011. My wife and I have two separate email accounts setup on this home computer. We both have our own email password. Up until a few days ago when you would click the send/receive tab in the tools folder a window would open and you would have to type in the password for that particular email account. I don't think we did anything different or downloaded anything but now when we click on the send/receive for our particular account it will start downloading the email off the server with out having to inter password, don't like this, want to have to enter password for our own accounts. What might of happened and how do I put it back to the way it was? Thanks
windows live mail is slow. How do I reconfigure it to show new emails first instead of loading all the junk and deleted email first?  It takes forever! Is there an update to the program since 2011?

Hi I to cant send emails from Windows Live this happened a couple of weeks ago then seemed to rectify itself. But once again its coming up with the error stated below:- Im receiving emails ok.

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***'.

Subject 'test '
Server Error: 530
Server Response: 530 Authentication required
Server: 'smtp.tiscali.co.uk'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): No

Any suggestions?

Regards

Scott

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

  • Do you face the same issue while using a different browser?

After opening a normal Internet Explorer window, press Ctrl + Shift + P to open a new window to start the In Private browsing.

Reply to us with the status of the issue to help you further.

I too am having a problem with Outlook.  I have wasted a lot of time trying to read my emails from multiple accounts.  I tried establishing aliases on an Outlook account and get a message that the service is not available.  I have to log out of one account and log in to the next account to read my emails.

If there is no easy fix to this problem, I will have to change all my emails to another provider.   Using the in private browser issues does NOT solve the problem.  Simply put, the problem is I want to sign in to one account, ie *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and then be able to access all my email accounts.  Strangely, my AOL accounts are accessible but not my live mail accounts.  What should I do to fix this?

OT: not responding and updates.

Windows Live Mail and Word frequently take ages to accept typing, saying 'not responding' and often the screen goes grey.

Windows update keeps offering me the same updates, even though it has already installed them.

Can you advise please? I am using Windows 7

OT: 3/16/2015 Win 7 Live Mail can't send email.

Receiving mail just fine, but sending mail produces error message:

Subject 'Thank you'

Server Error: 530

Server Response: 530 Authentication is required before sending [R0107005]

Server: 'SMTP-server.nc.rr.com'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78

Protocol: SMTP

Port: 25

Secure(SSL): No

What is "530 Authentication" and how do I supply it?
