Hello,

I am using WLM and have recently reconfigured it using IMAP.

I am having the following problems:

1. When I send an email it is being saved in the local Storage Folders but I want all sent email to be saved in IMAP Sent Items. IMAP for the account is setup as below. I have tried changing the names of the IMAP folders, I reset the IMAP folders list, I have changed the Root folder path to Inbox and changed it back again, I have deleted and re-created the account, nothing works.

2. When I change the Root folder path to Inbox, and reset the IMAP folders list, I cannot see any files in Inbox.

Any ideas? WLM is driving me nuts.

One of my Hotmail accounts has ceased to download on my laptop using Windows Live Mail.  Another Hotmail account and other email addresses work fine.  I can access via the website of course.  I notice when the account is accessed via Live Mail the emails begin to appear but then disappear immediate windows Live moves on to the next account.

I tried deleting the account and re-adding it but all I now get is a message saying "trying to synchronize Please wait for your emails to download" but they do not.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

PLEASE MRICOSOFT GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME!! i can't even add my yahoo.ca email!!! Help!!! =)

Issue with Mail 2011 running in Win 7.

Starting acting up then couldn't reply, forward or send new messages.

Checked Microsoft site for help and attempted several of requested "fixes" including uninstall/reinstall, restore to previous time, internal self repair and others.

None worked and went as far as getting worse. At one point Pc wouldn't even restart and had to do that repair.

Now mail 2011 won't even open. Get message #0x800C0155.2- another program is currently using mail such as anti-virus.

What??? I don't have a second party anti-virus. Just Windows security ,Ccleaner, and Maleware bytes. Have always had these

I'm sure  during all this I have lost all email info by now.

Any help please.

I have a sony vaio that has a programme to see photos and send them by mail. But I cannot create an email account because the instruction is to go to TOOLS and then select "create account" and  for unknown reasons that option is not on the list. Additionally, it says that Windows Live Mail needs to download folders before I can read the messages and I click the download option that states first my user name and pasword but I get a reply that the server does not recongnize either of them. Thanks for your help.

(moved from Programs)

After my email is downloaded to my Windows Live Email on my computer,  they are not deleted from the server.  This also causes them to continually be downloaded to my tablet even thought they have already been deleted off the tablet.  Needless to say, it's very frustrating.  Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

I have just successfully installed Windows Live Mail which appears to be a great improvement over IE Outlook (aka Hotmail), with one big exception.   In IE Outlook I would get a brief list of frequent contacts when I open a "New" (Compose) window.  Now if I type the letter d for example I get a short list of random contacts all the way from b to z most of whom I have not sent a e-mail to in over a year.  This is totally useless.

Putting contacts in a Favorites list makes no difference with getting a pick list.  What am I missing?   I want a short pick list of the most recent contacts tht I have sent e-mail to.

Worried that I might have to go back to full blown Outlook which I lost during a recent change out of computers

Thanks

I am getting this message when I try to start Windows Live Mail on a Windows 7 Home Premium machine, and the program refuses to start.

This PC was quite a mess and I've managed to restore just about everything except this.  Under programs in the control panel Windows (Live) Essentials isn't listed there for me to select and repair, as suggestions were posted.   In order to try again I have to use the utility to uninstall each component of Windows Live and then try installing it again.  This last time I managed to get Photo Gallery and Movie Maker to run once again, but still no Windows Live Mail.
