What can I do to get all incoming mail senders that are NOT on my contact list, to go to junk mail?  Right now everything goes into my inbox and I have to edit every email.  Today I had over 75 items that should go to 'JUNK!'

New computer using windows 8, old computer using windows 7....

set up my email on new computer according to instructions. Used same email address but the system made me use a new password. I am not getting email on the new computer but I have been getting mail on the old computer. What do I need to do?

PS: I am not a computer geek so please explain in terms a 60+ year old man can understand.

Thank you for any asistance

I'm changing email providers and want to add the new provider's IMAP account to Windows Live 2009 on my wife's Windows 7 laptop.  As far as I can tell, I entered the information shown by my ISP for name to show on emails, full email address, IMAP server, incoming mail IMAP.server.net, outgoing mail SMTP.server.net, full email user name, password, outgoing SMTP port, SSL on, incoming IMAP port, and SSL on.  Windows Live shows it as a new account, but when I try to download the folders, I always get the message:  "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.  Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity."  It must be server problems because my network seems to work, and it definitely wasn't a long period of inactivity.  Can someone help me?

I use WindowsLive Mail2012 andIE11.Unable toremovethe red X in theWork Offline buttom.Cansend mailbut NOT RECIEVE. I have readallthreadson the subject, but did not find any solution.NOTE-EI11lacksthe ability to chooseWork Offline/Onlineunder File, that many to check.Has not helpedto reinstall Essential.

So I sent out a group email for an event I am managing. When the replies come back, I move them to a folder for that event. When I go to review the replies, there is not a reply for each one I saved to the folder, but only one reply with the names of the persons who replied underneath the subject line, as well as two envelopes beside the subject line. (which made me think that more than one reply would be there)

BUT... when I open the email the only message saved is the last one saved.  How can I retrieve all of those messages that got  buried?

Hi, Recently my Windows Live Mail 2011 deleted all of my emails in my sent, draft, deleted, junk, and even sub folders I had as well as several of my inbox emails.  I need to get that information back.  I save information that is important to me in those folders and now all that information is gone.  I have no idea why it happened, but I noticed it in the last couple days saying it was trying to recover data or something to that effect.  How can I get that information back.  That was years of saved information that was stored in these sub folders, not to mention contacts information for people sent to me over the past 10 years.  I have done no updates, although my computer does some automatic updating in the middle of the night.  I have had no other trouble with my computer.  I need you to tell me how to get that information back.  I have an HP Pavilion with Windows Live Mail 2011. Thank you.

can't find server

I have a Windows 7 64 bit computer with Windows Live Mail which connects to Gmail (both set up as IMAP).  The Inbox, Receipts, Spam, Trash and Sent folders are always synchronized.  However, I have lots of personal folders I created within WLM which are not sync'd and don't even exist in the web-based Gmail account.  I recently set up my wife's computer which came with Windows 8.1, and to my surprise her personal folders created within WLM "do" show up in her web-based Gmail account and appear to be automatically sync'd to it.  She is also set up with IMAP.

Does anyone know whether there is a way to sync all folders in WLM to GMAIL using Windows 7 or is this one of those benefits of upgrading to 8.1.

Thanks.
