I have 2 computers and I have Windows Live Mail installed on both. One is a laptop running Windows 7 and the other, newer machine, is a desktop running Windows 8.1. I do not like the Windows 8 Mail app but did like the Windows Live Mail that I had on my laptop so I installed the Windows Live Mail on the new Windows 8.1 Desktop.
I have 2 Microsoft Mail Accounts - One is a Hotmail.com account and the other is a "Live.com" account, and I have two other pop mail accounts.
I have successfully added all 4 accounts to the Live Mail client on the Windows 81 computer and everything is working fine. However, on the Windows 7 Laptop, I cannot get one of the pop mail accounts to work. Both pop mail accounts are through the same provider and actually have the same passwords but the one account keeps telling me the password is invalid.
I have checked and rechecked all of the settings and passwords for both pop mail accounts and they are set up exactly the same on each computer, so I cannot figure out why the one account is responding properly and the other does not.
Anyone have any ideas about this strange situation?
im trying to send an email and it just keeps saying that my email address is unavailable yet it works on my phone but not my laptop
is there any problem with livemail right now
Hi, I have suddenly started to receive this error message if I try to send or synch from WLM. The message is not strictly correct as I appear to be able to receive but not send. If I try to send, the email ends up in the Outbox and just sits there.
I have removed and re-added all WLM accounts. I have found a report on these error codes, in this forum, of sending multiple copies of a message but this appears not to be the case. The accounts are fine and can be accessed by other means (phone, or IE).
I am using W7, fully patched (now there's a thought, a patch went on tonight KB2952664). WLM is up to date.
Help!
Thanks,
John
When I receive an email in WLM, with a link in it to a webpage, I get a message 'Server Execution Failure' plus a lot of letters and numbers, and Google Chrome doesn't open.
I can open the webpage normally by inserting the link into the browser.
WLM and Google Chrome are working normally apart from this.
Original Title: Server Execution Failure
Dear Sir.
I readed and tried all possible appointed solutions for to Uninstall/Install of Live Mail. But . . . no fixed anyway. The Windows 7 Home Basic ( in a Dell Vostro i3 ) Unistall feature dont show the needed resource for to repair and/or Uninstall. When I try to Install (wlsetup-all.exe - PT-BR Version, size of 221.465kb ) I am taking a 0x80040609 error, and more : a 0x80070643 error too . Nothing solve the problem , in all pages that I could find , neither what wrong it is going on . Neither Live Mail 2011 ( the original one) , or Live Mail 2012 . Amazing : The Microsoft program of installation tell me that "something" goes wrong . But if Microsoft's program cannot pinpoint the problem, and tell me what to do , who and where could I go for to do this ???? 30+ years of experience and more than 8 full days fighting with this . By all the Gods, is there any solution anywhere. Anyone, from Microsoft and/or third parties ? . . . It is the first time that I need the community help, but how to send Log Files and the "exported" the specific registry file ? I could not find in this page nothing on this issue . Everybody around me tell things that I have tried without success.
Thanks in advance.
I am using live mail 2011 on a laptop running Windows 7, and it works just fine when I am normally on my wi-fi network.
I also have no problems using an air-card or other remote hot-spot wi-fi devices with reasonable bandwidth.
However, I am trying to use a satellite phone wi-fi device and I get the dreaded error: 0x80048848.
Now I KNOW that the reason for this is that I'm not getting an "internet connection".
But I AM getting an internet connection - I can use Internet Explorer just fine.
But I get this error trying to go into Live Mail.
I SUSPECT STRONGLY that the reason is that the connection is so slow (very low bandwidth since it's a satellite phone) that perhaps Live Mail is "timing out" and therefore I get this error (I get it after about 30 seconds or so).
But I can not figure out how to change the "default timeout period" (if there even is such a thing).
If I could, I would change it to, say, 60 seconds, and I think my problem would be solved.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Thanks
Dave
