Every time I get on my email it says, Initialization of RSS feed support failed. RSS feeds could not be updated.? It has done this every since I switched virus protection.

So I see that others have been having this problem on and off for a few years now. IS there a Viable Fix for this problem yet other than what has been posted by forum members using the + when in the CC or BCC fields?

Thanks,

Zana

Reviving this old thread... With WLM 2012, trying to export to Outlook 2013, other web post says there is a Share function for the calendar, but I can't find it.  Can someone tell me where it is?

Helene,

My contacts are resident in the computer but do not display when I hit the contact button in Live Mail. Additionally, when I type an e-mail no contacts are found for the address bar? Is there a way to restore this to my Live Mail account & the contacts button?

I am having same issue. "email temporarily deactivated"

but there are no letters/numbers to reactivate.

how do I fix it? please help?

thank you

My old XP PC will not start up and I have replaced it with a new on running Windows 8.1 and Windows Live Mail. I have removed the hard drive from the old PC and connected it to the new one in order to copy important items across. I have changed the permissions etc. in order to gain access to these items and copied some documents across. I am now trying to copy my old Outlook Express email storage folder and am able to open it and see the contents. I have tried copying these across to the desktop on my new PC but cannot paste it. I am getting a message that I need permission from my new PC to do this. I have tried importing the messages directly into my Windows Live Mail but get the message that the folder is empty, I obviously know that it is not. So are the contents of the folder incompatible to WLM? If so is there anything that I can do to them to make them compatible? Or can I provide the permission to copy and paste and do some process on my new PC to enable them to be read?

Hi!

My Father got an issue while trying to export his contacs from his account using windows live mail. He has over 2700 contacts but when trying to export 'em the file gets only 1098 contacts. Is there a limit?

Thanks in advance!

I want Windows Live Mail to send an automatic reply to incoming emails, notifying the sender that I am changing my email address to a new one. Thank you for your help.

I have been unable to connect WLM Calendar to the service for some time. I have tried most of the suggestions in the relevant posts and have had no success. I just did yet another clean uninstall/install (remove, registry, folders) and all I am getting is a fresh blank calendar even though my Contacts and Emails are just fine. I have no trouble viewing my calendar (including synced Gmail Calendar and Yahoo Mail Calendar) directly via https://bay01.calendar.live.com/calendar/calendar.aspx.

Additionally, if I try to go the other way and try to import the Microsoft Calendar into Google Calendar with the proffered .ics link (webcals://sharing.calendar.live.com/calendar/private... (blah blah blah)... /calendar.ics) Google tells me that it is not a valid address.

So:

WLM Mail is fine.

WLM Contacts are fine.

All the services (Calendar, Contacts, Mail...) on the web (Outlook/Live) work just fine.

No connecting to the calendar service from WLM.

No syncing to the calendar service from Google Calendar via .ics

Turning off the McAfee firewall does not help.

I'm stumped.

[ref. There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.]

I was able to access the newsgroup news.annexcafe.com before I had to reinstall Windows 7.  I have regained IE 11.  In Windows Live Mail, after going to New: Newsgroups, I type the following:  news.annexcafe.com.  This was not provided by my ISP so I don't need to log in.  However, that newsgroup is not found.  A search using any of the above words yields the same negative response.  How do I regain access to this newsgroup?
