Does being able to access my e-mails via ME mean I don't have to sign on to them again the old fashioned way??
Does being able to access my e-mails via ME mean I don't have to sign on to them again the old fashioned way??

Win 7 64 bit OS and M/S Essentials Live Mail 2012, M/S IE 8 and Wave broardband

Only way to "delete" a message after log on is to highlight and "Move to folder" (PITA)

Delete on keyboard and clicking delete on toolbar does remove message in Inbox.

Have checked previous responses to apparently similar problems to no avail.

If use Outlook via IE 8, clicking on trashcan in message list works.

??

I have 100s of contacts, all of file type .contact, which I used in Windows Mail (on a machine using Windows Vista). How can I import them into Windows Live Mail, please? The only options appear to be .csv, .wab, .vcf or Address book for current Windows user (which produces zilch for me).

Help much appreciated. Thank you.

Katie

I use Windows live mail , not a web site , changed from a Sky address to Outlook and have a blank contact list , how do I transfer ? I am not "computer literate" , so no computer "language" please ! .

I have Windows Live Mail as my email client on my desktop PC.  Lately, Windows Live mail has become extremely slow in starting and I want to Refresh my PC.  However, before doing so, how do I backup all my email messages particularly messages in the INBOX and SENT folders of each email account.  I have several email accounts both POP and Imap.

I understand that, after a Refresh, all email messages would be deleted.  How then do I backup all my email folders and then, after the Refresh, how do I restore the messages?  Can someone please explain to me in non-technical terms?

It appears the problem could not be due to a virus as I have run three anti-virus programs, including Windows Defender, Malwarebytes and Microsoft Safety Scanner, but there were no threats detected.  I even uninstalled Windows Live Mail and then re-installed it but that made no difference whatsoever.  I takes almost eight minutes before Windows Live Mail starts.  Before Windows Live Mail would start in just four seconds.  Something is hampering the start.

I can't receive messages.  I can send, but can't receive.  Here is the message I get:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Bellsouth account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Server: 'inbound.att.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

I haven't been able to receive since 5/3.  Problem?  Message from ATT says Windows Live Mail is no longer a supported product.  Does anyone know about this?
