Help
My Dell laptop (Vista) updated (security) last week (I'm not mega-techy so bear with my non-techy speak!) and since then I've had all manner of issues.
My emails (Windows Live Mail) arrive but in thumbnails that will not open, they don't even try! I cannot create or reply to emails that arrive.
Photoshop/Paintshop pro editing programs open but do not work. (I can open a photo and crop, for example) but it won't save the file.
I can browse the internet and watch vids, but when on Twitter, the vids won't play.
I know the issues (apart from emails) are petty, but I'm listing them in case relevant.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Paintshop pro which solved the problem, only to find that, going back to it the next day wasn't working again., so I'm a bit loathed to do this with Live mail (or similar) as it seems it will just be back to square one after loading all of the family email accounts in.
Anyway, it's a shot in the dark, I'd be grateful of any ideas.
I'm using Windows Live Mail. A message I've been working on and had saved in my Draft Folder has suddenly disappeared.
When I opened Drafts the email was top of the list, being the latest, but instead of the text I had worked on appearing in the content window, there was a message indicating that there had been a problem and the content couldn't be displayed.
To view the content anyway I was directed to click on a blue link that said "click here" or "view here" which I did but instead of opening the content up, the entry disappeared completely from the list.
I'd spent several hours working on the text, How do I recover it please?
I have read ALL of the support threads for this same questions, gone through what they suggested, and I am STILL not receiving either email or device notifications from my windows live calendar - even though I have these as defaults on my calendar.
This is quite inconvenient, as I really need those notifications!
Has anybody found a solution that actually works? Or is this just a Microsoft calendar defect?
Thank you
