I cannot access my Windows Live Mail.  I have Windows 7.  Each time I try to access it I get the following:

Unable to send or receive messages for the gseeley account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR [IN-USE] account is locked by another session or for maintenance, try again.
Server: 'mail.twc.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

I have changed my password, run as an admin etc.  I can access it from web mail. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution?  Thank you. Jerry

I can start email which I assume is Live Mail but I don't really know.

I can't add any accounts that seem to work or even get reflected in the accounts list in any meaningful way and synch does not seem to work.

Is live mail like outlook?

I am trying to forward some email to my wife.  My email has our last name, while hers has an initial before the emal:

E.g. name#domain.com and xname#domain.com.  I use the former for my account information and I am trying to forward specific mail (by rule) to her.  The rule executes, but I get the error

Your message rules did not Forward or Reply X message(s) because the message would have been sent to one of your accounts:  Account:  'ACCOUNT_NAME', Server 'pop.domain.com'

This is wrong though as I am forwarding it to xname#domain.com, not name#domain.com.  The xname#domain.com is not noted outside my address book.

Any idea what I can do to fix this so it will properly forward the emails?

The message rule is:

Apply this rule after the message arrives

Where the From line contains 'someone#somesite.com'

Forward it to xname#domain.com

  and Highlight it with Maroon

The last part works, so I know the rule is executing.  The system just thinks xname#domain.com is the same as name#domain.com.

Substitute "@" for "#" in my examples.

My computer had a full drama the other day - I spent hours on the phone to Microsoft trying to restore it - most of the data is back, I've had to re-load my dictionary, books, music etc. My email contacts list has disappeared completely.  I have tried several of the Community suggestions - but nothing has worked

Please help - I can't work without my contacts

Hi Any suggestions on how to stop live mail deleting messages after  a certain lenght of time. Why do e-mails from a week previous sometimes come back as a new e-mail a week later ... thanks Eugene

Hi,

Please will you advise if there is a genuine Hotmail/outlook app that I can download for Android Phones (S19000 - therefore an old phone).

The new version does not work on my phone, and in most instances when I log in via the internet, I am not able to respond to or create new messages.

Many Thanks

Hi

I'm not computer literate so please bear with me.

I've just bough a new Dell PC with Windows 8 installed  and I use Windows Live Mail as my email server on my GMAIL account.

Everything was working ok but suddenly I cannot delete any messages and I get the following message:

Message 1: "No Folder [gmail]/trash (failure)"

Message 2: " Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks. Please review the list of errors below for more details.

Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (piking1943) account. Header download for the "Trash" folder did not complete. Could not select "Trash" on the IMAP server. Try updating the folder list and try again.

Server Response: NONEXISTANT Unknown Mailbox [Gmail] / Trash (now in authenticated state) ( Failure)

Server: imap.gmail.com.

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8000CCCD2

Protocol: IMAP

Port: 993

Secure(SSL): Yes"

My new PC replaced a Windows 7 system and I've been experimenting with settings and stuff so I've probably done something that has caused this fault.

Sorry but can you please help.
