On June 21st I sent out pictures via live mail with no problem. I am using Windows Essentials 2012 and I have my default email account imported into live mail. Now when I try to send pictures they get stuck in the outbox. I do not receive an error message, they just stay in the outbox and the message at the bottom says publishing album, but it doesn't go anywhere. When I go into one drive, the pictures are there, but the recipient hasn't received them because it shows that they are stuck in the outbox. Plus, they are not showing in my sent folder and I have it set to show sent messages. I've checked my options and it all looks like they always have, so nothing was changed there. I've tried sending, then walking away for 20 minutes. When I return they are still in outbox and message at bottom right says it's still publishing. It's not even timing out on me. I have not changed anything on my computer and my last windows update was June 9. I am using windows 7 64. Here is a list of how I do it and the fixes I have tried.
I go into my pictures, choose the pictures I want to send, then choose send to mail recipient. When the box comes up, I choose attach, which then opens the live mail, and then I send.
I am always logged into my live ID when I do this and my name is displayed at top right. I have always done it this way without issue. I tried sending from within, so choosing add an attachment from within live mail and it still causes a problem.
I have tried sending different pictures with the same issue. I have tried just sending one picture vs many and still it/they are stuck in the outbox.
I am able to send the pictures through one drive by choosing share then selecting the pictures. It says that they have been sent. Unfortunately, I really don't want to send them this way.
I have tried to send a different attachment (word document) and it works. Also, I have no problem sending or receiving text messages. I am only having problems sending pictures all of a sudden
I checked my firewall and nothing seems to be getting blocked.
I have tried doing a repair of windows essentials from add/remove and that didn't fix the problem.
Thanks in advance.
Jennifer

I have Windows 8.1 on my new PC.
Have been using Windows Live Mail but I tried to send an email with photos as an attachment (I think the email address was incorrect) and now I can't open Live Mail as this small window pops up saying 'Publishing photos 4 of 4'.
My problem is I don't know how to get rid of this.
Is anyone able to help me with this.
Thanks

In the past two days, a number of users have complained that the photo email feature is no longer working. After creating a photo email and clicking send, the process starts and then stalls.
At this stage, the following is recorded in the program log:
[13:04:26.65] 17d8 Mail: Zone_MailChk ERROR: (containx.cpp:3808), failed with 0x800CCE05 |
To clear the error, the user must:
1. Disconnect from the Internet (e.g. switch off Wi-Fi or unplug the Ethernet cable).
This will stop the program from trying to send.
2. Remove the message from the outbox (below the account folders in the folder pane).
3. Click Stop in the send/receive progress window.
An error message with code 0x80004004 (ABORT) is displayed.
4. Close the progress window.
Instead of using the photo email feature, users could:
A. Start a new email message from within Windows Live Mail (Ctrl-N), then use either
Attach files to send images as attachments to the message, or
Insert > Single photo to embed images into the message and apply some formatting.
The images will still be sent as attachments, but they will usually be visible to the recipient
in the body of the message.
B. Upload the images to OneDrive, then use the sharing options there to send a link to addressees by email.
Will support staff please confirm this fault and inform users about when they may expect the broken feature to be mended?
Hi all
I seem to be going round in circles! Apparently Microsoft doesn't support Windows Live Mail through phone calls anymore. The first online helpdesk I tried referred me to a local number, which transferred me through to an almost incoherent connection in Asia, who provided another link to different online helpdesk, which provided another link, which vanished together with all the dialogue as soon as the chat ended. So now it's over to you - the community - to see if anyone can help! Here's the problem:
A small (send/receive) window has appeared in my Windows Live Mail inbox which says "Publishing Photo Album" (whatever that means) and it has stopped about half way through sending. Unfortunately I cannot delete it and therefore cannot send or receive anything on Live Mail. I've tried restoring my laptop to 24/06/2015 (just before it appeared) but this hasn't helped. The window is still there and, even though I can close it, it keeps popping back up every time I open Live Mail.
I can hear emails coming through and can access them by going online to my Yahoo Mail account, but I am simply unable to receive them in my Live Mail inbox or delete this annoying pop-up window. Unfortunately, deselecting the "Check for Server Certificate Revocation" check box, as suggested by Rodeo@Taiwan (earlier in this forum) doesn't work for my problem either. Does anyone out there have any suggestions for me? Also, would I lose all the valuable files I have collected in my Live Mail folders if I uninstalled and then reinstalled my WLM software again?
Can anyone out there help?
Cheers
Peter
