I have a Time Warner Cable account set up as IMAP. It worked fine until I bought a new Windows 8.1 laptop and installed Windows Live Mail. Now I get multiple Send and Deleted and Junk files appearing, and when I delete them I am unable to reset my list of folders in WLM to match. Now I get numerous error messages from WLM that it can't access the server and can't sync email. Suggestions???

I just started to have this problem. I have mail in the outbox that won't send. I continue to get inbox. if I leave the site it asks "do you want to send mail in outbox" and I say yes, but does not go. It also will not let me open it. It give me an error message "there is a problem performing this function, try again"  I have tried to refresh the Windows Essentials program, this has worked in the past when I have had problem with the Live Mail program but not this time.  Any suggestions or help?

Friends,

The all day I have a problem with Windows Live Mail. It shows that screen and I can not stop it. I don't publish anything! It is a mistake or bug.

Even I restart the PC without success. Also I went to Control panel and repaired the program.

Could you help me?

[Original title: Problem with Windows Live Mail]

I tried to send an email with several large photos attached and it can't seem to send it I think because it's too large. Now every time I open windows mail it automatically starts trying to send this message again. This is on Windows 8.

server rejected my log in to windows live mail
Publishing albun is frozen cannot use email or delete publishing

I have several email accounts for various purposes and it's been a festering problem with Windows 10

Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

Searching with Google has been useless too

I have been trying to get back into a long-time live.com account of mine. I had two deaths in my family last year, both my sister (June) and my mother (September, with her funeral in October)  Because of this, I traveled to visit my mother in hospice and to her funeral, and while doing so used several different devices and wireless networks to access my account, which your system read as suspicious activity. Then, at one point, the automated system advised me to change my password, which I did. But, because of all the stress of the circumstances, I didn't write it down, and subsequently forgot it. So eventually I couldn't get back into my account, and after repeated attempts it was locked. Now, when I request a code, the system doesn't send one.

But your "account recovery" form doesn't work for me either. I did not use this account to send emails, so I have no answer for that recovery question, and I don't use labels. I'm sure that appears to your automated system as very suspicious.
My attempts to use the form to regain access my account result in the system sending me emails telling me to fill in the account recovery forms again (insanity is doing the same thing over and over...). And, my account had been active for so many years that I really don't even recall some of the information I provided so many years ago. In addition, when I signed up for the account, it's quite likely that I may have fudged on some of the material I was asked (I can recall a period, for instance, when I always used my father's date of birth) in an effort to protect my own privacy.

I recognize that Microsoft is trying to do the right thing, but locking me out of an account I've had for a very long time in the name of security is not reasonable. I feel I should have been able to opt out of some of the security measures when I could see they were inaccurate and liable to cause me problems at a time when I had many other things to deal with.

Your forms do not help me recover my account. I have a lot of important contacts in that account, and important information that is tied to the account in various ways (it ws the sign-on for my Blogger account, for instance) I cannot access without access to it. Please don't refer me back to endless circular forms that never achieve anything. Please help me.

I am replying to an email & want to insert/annotate my reply with a 'tick' mark in various places? I've tried various fonts (but not ALL of them!) in Windows Character Map, but haven't been able - so far - to produce the desired symbol in WLM.

Is this possible?
