I'm using Windows 7. There are earlier responses in 2012 to this same question, but apparently WLM has changed since then and the responses don't seem to fit the present system.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, and have installed two Languages (US English and Swedish, the US English is currently the default language).

This is so that I can spell check in both languages because I am dyslexic. I can not find a place to correct the spell checker in W.L.M.

Currently it only spell checks in Swedish in Live mail 2012. After several tries with Microsoft's support (via Chat and Phone) I find that they do NOT support this program even though the program came with (Windows 7).

Is there any one out there that has any idea about how to go about fixing this problem?

Hakan B-W.

When trying to compose an email message or reply/forward one  I get the message "A problem has occurred while trying to open this message".

I have windows 7 and Essentials 12.

I have tried the repair mode in Essentials via the Control panel, deleting and re-installing to no avail. I have also had error codes 0x80041161 and 0x800c0155.2 whilst trying to fix the problem.

What can you recommend?

I send mails from Live mail and they appear to leave my system without bouncing or sending error messages, but they do not arrive at their destination.

I'm not sure if you can help me but I'm going to give this a try.  My Live.com email will only attach 8 pages for the document to my email that will go thru.  That is 1.22mb.  Very small attachment.  For 6 years this has never happened.  If I try to go over this amount the message I get is "this file exceeds your attachment limit".  But in my Hotmail.com email it will still attach the same documents and go up to at least 30 pages or 8.75mb.  Can you help me resolve this issue?

Hi Team,

I work in a Technical Support Team and I have this customer who uninstalled his Windows Live Mail. He thought he could recover all lost emails after re-installing the program. All emails are missing because there was no backup or archive done.

Is there any suggestions on how to restore the emails (inbox, folders, sent items etc).

Thank you.

James

how do I change my daughters password on my windows 8 pc if I am the administrator and she is just an extra user?

recently purchased a new HP Desktop computer with Windows 8.1;  data  from my Dell Laptop (Windows 7) hard drive were transferred over to my new computer (the Dell laptop had a processor failure)  (hard drive was not affected).   the data transfer to my new Desktop computer was done by a tech where I purchased the Desktop and all data / programs were transferred except for my Windows Live Email 'account'.

This Windows Live was created in 2011 through my other email account--Roadrunner and its server-- by a Dell tech when laptop was purchased from Dell-- I don't even know why they did that but anyway, I became familiar with Windows Live Mail and was comfortable with it. however,

windows live mail was unable to be transferred to my new Desktop PC ..   very confused. where is my windows live mail, my storage folders I had created , etc., etc.?  when I look at Program Files I do see Widows Live Mail and when I click on it to open , it shows:

C:/Program Files (x86)Windows Live/Mail/WLMail.Exe

the specified path does not exist

Check the path, and then try again

(the tech that did my data transfer showed me and he got the same and just was not able to do the data transfer for windows live mail)

I don't know, I thought windows live mail was connected to my roadrunner account (which was transferred to my new Desktop) and that there wouldn't be a problem with the data transfer. because windows live mail was set up with or part of my Roadrunner account.  very confusing and i'm sure i'm not using correct wording/terms.

I had many storage files in Windows Live Mail and now I cannot retrieve anything.  how do I get that Windows Live Mail 'account' and transfer it to my new Desktop computer.  is it completely  gone/deleted??????  Obviously I am not computer savvy, do know some but not enough I guess.

and am lost without my Windows Live Mail ....... I contacted Roadrunner support and all they could say was for me to contact Microsoft.  Help please.   is there something that can be done? my windows live mail has to  be somewhere!

if anyone responds , be kind and please don't be too technical--simple terms work best for me.....hoping there is a solution/remedy available.

The cable company just installed a new modem for me. When I tried to access my email, a box opened that said the pop-server could not be found (couldn't find smpt-server either).  Any ideas> Thank you.
