Question about Outlook Express

Recently updated from Win7 to 10 and found a few disappointing things:

MAIL - contacts did not make the journey.  I hate the thought of manually

adding all those addresses (and to what program?)  My other mail accounts have

relatively few contacts listed, so synching isn't much good to resolve this.  I'll

leave it at this one for now and pick them off one at a time. 

I really liked WIN7 a lot - it was the most stable Win platform I have ever used and

would like to get past the regret I am now feeling.   "sigh"

I have windows 10 as of today and 3 of my 4 emails are not working in desktop live.

anyone have a clue in Microsoft land?

I have just upgraded from 8.1 to 10.

On my default Live Mail account the Delete button does not work in Live Mail. It works for the other Live Mail accounts but not the default.  I have to move the item to the Delete Folder.

I have run the Live Mail repair, I have deleted the Mail.MSMessageStore files from the main folder and the back up so that it rebuilt the files.

I have also deleted the account and set it up again. Several times.  None of these solved the problem.

I thought I would therefore abandon Live Mail and use the Windows 10 Mail app. However that let me set up one account but refuses to let me add any other accounts. It responds with "Something Has gone wrong etc".

It seems odd that I can access our Hotmail accounts using non-Microsoft applications on Android, IOS and Windows but not using Microsoft products.

Any advice?
