I have had to re-import my contact list on windows live mail. Now I have some extra ones (that don't show an email address) that I can't get rid of in the normal manner.. i.e. the option to delete the name does not pop up. How do I get rid of these?

I can't be the only person annoyed by the jumping buttons that dumps reams of data into archives when I was
trying to delete it. That has to be wasting my memory. I would like to do these things and I don't know how .....
1) remove the archive tab completely since I will NEVER use it.
2) empty the archive at one go.
3) access the archives and delete page by page through thousands of them.
4) Have Microsoft quit dumping upgrades on people and instead offering them as opt in
that way the techies would be happy and basic level people would not be floundering.
I have been told that I should just go to the folder marked archives and go from there.
The problem is I don't have a folder marked archive and when I go in through the
control panel I also don't have a folder marked archive. When I use the search bar
and try to find archive, archive folder, archives and archives folder I get no results.
I would greatly appreciate simple directions in how to perform these tasks.

I foolishly upgraded to Windows 10. Apart from it not supporting the driver for my monitor, Live Mail does not open. It just hangs and I get an error message (0xE5E0408) - 'Corrupt data in calendar preventing Live Mail from opening.' It did work initially with Win 10, but failed soon after.
What should I do?

This has started happening recently. I have Livemail 2011 with IE 11.
When I click on a link in an email (offers on Amazon Local is a good example), the website doesn't load and Livemail restarts.
Any ideas?

I recently re-installed Windows live Mail 2011 for my account with Comcast following these instructions from Comcast.
http://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/internet/connect-on-window
It worked.
I can now send and receive with no problems.
Since the install brought-up my prior account information I deleted that account, re-stared the computer , and re-created the account with the instructions from Comcast.
In windows live mail, when a new mail arrives in my spam folder, and I delete it without reading it, it moves to the trash folder. Several minutes later, I get a new mail alert (both a sound and the icon in the task bar). It's really annoying as I end up having to check my mail many times each day to find there is nothing actually new. My questions are, is this normal behaviour, and is there a way to fix it so that deleted mail does not trigger an alert.
Thanks in advance.
Ric.

I have 4 accounts loaded in Windows Live Mail v2012 - 2 of them are live.com accounts - all 4 were working correctly in Windows 7 before I did the Windows 10 upgrade - the two live.com accounts are set to the HTTP mail server "https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/sync.aspxat" - I am now getting the above error message on the live.com accounts, but the other 2 are still working properly - I am not logged in to any account - I am suspecting that this server setting may no longer work???? - I have already tried the Microsoft Fixit program (no help) - any help on resolving this to get these two accounts working again will be greatly appreciated
