Have been using Live Mail for years with no problem.  Upgraded to Win 10 July 31 and email was working fine.  Received an email the other day and couldn't delete it. Bad sector on drive??  I suspect something was updating (Windows, **** I don't read?) and it caused a problem.  I rebooted and was able to delete ok. Fine until I checked email today and have the same problem again.  What folder needs to be copied, eliminated, and recreated??  Is there a folder repair for Live Email??

I have just come back to 7 from 10 and the first thing I noticed was that each time I opened Live Mail was a message saying it was rebuilding the database.

As this appeared to have no effect I left it .

However now I open Live Mail I no longer get this happen and the problem is when I close the prog and open it again all the folders are empty.

Any advice please.

The title says it all really. Grateful for any assistance.
livemail would not download a fi;e with extenson xlsx which is microsoft excel extension. why is that?
Every time I start Windows Live Mail 10 (Windows 7), I get the message "Recovering the database in Windows Live Mail" and then everything works.  Why does it have to recover EVERY time???
When I put in my Cablevision/Optimum email account, I got a message saying "We couldn't find info for that account...." My account ends with @optonline.net.  Cablevision appears to have two servers.  One is the server I use and another ends with @optimum.net.  When I input a my name using @optimum.net, the Windows mail system accepts it though, of course, the Cablevision system does not accept this incorrect email address.  Does Microsoft have to add mail.optonline.net to their database or is there a way to manually set my mail server addresses and ports in Windows 10 mail?

I just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1.

One major problem so far. My Windows Live Mail 2012 loads new messages fine but will not permit opening of individual email messages Pop-up box says that--- 'MSVCR110.dll is missing". Can anyone please help. Many thanks

When I go to Junk mail I set the mail to "Block Sender" and "Block Domain" but when I open the "Block Sender" tab I don't find it there. I also keep getting the same message. What to do?

I have run the repair for the Windows Essential numerous times with out success.  Any suggestions.   To delete the contents of the Deleted file I must click on each email push delete and then confirm that is what I want to do.  Can take a long time to delete hundreds of emails.
