About three weeks ago the auto REC function stopped working Win Live Mail. Used to have it set up to query server every 10 minutes but has stopped doing so. Manual or F5 still work.

I am unable to use my windows live, which has my live.com, Hotmail.com, and aol.com mail accounts. I am very frustrated with this Windows 10, because it is not user friendly. I need help accessing my mail.
I have installed windows 10 and it wiped out the Microsoft Essential. Should I try reinstalling it?

I will be happy to assist you in resolving your issue with regard to being unable to open email messages in Windows Live Mail.
It is possible that Mail.MsMessageStore file was corrupted. Please follow the steps below on how to repair the file:
1. Restart the computer (this is to ensure that Live Mail is fully shut down, and that none of it's components are in use when the computer starts)
2. Click Start, type CMD but do not press enter
3. You will see cmd.exe in the search results, right click on it and select Run as Administrator - type your admin password if asked, and if UAC pops up asking permission, allow it
4. You should now see the command prompt, with the following displayed:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:Windowssystem32>
5. Copy the following (press Ctrl+C):
esentutl.exe -d "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"
Note: the "" are necessary
6. Right click in the command prompt Window, and select Paste, so you now see the following:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:Windowssystem32>esentutl.exe -d "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"
7. Press enter. esentutl will now defragment the Live Mail database file
8. Once done, you can close the command prompt, and restart the PC again
Hi , i had the same problem as above and followed the instructions and the following fault came up.
Operation terminated with error -550 (JET_errDatabaseDirtyShutdown, Database was
not shutdown cleanly. Recovery must first be run to properly complete database
operations for the previous shutdown.) after 0.124 seconds.

I have noticed that emails have disappeared from my deleted folders. I was wondering is there a time limit on which the deleted folders hold on to emails? Or is there some setting which I can use to determine the length of time a deleted email remains in the folder?

In my Microsoft Live mail 2012 are the same e-mails as in Microsoft Outlook.com but I can not transfere anyone to my external hard drive or to Microsoft Outlook 2013.
From my Microsoft Outlook 2013 is it possible to transfer the e-mails to the external hard drive.

I have a huge problem.
I have Live account on MS and my father has GMail account (one that was deleted a long time ago). Our accounts are connected as "Family". The problem comes here-->
My father has stopped using account a long time ago and he forgot his password. Worse thing is that we couldn't reset the password because of:
1. His GMail adress is deleted so he cannot receive code for recovering password.
2.Single-use code on mobile phone doesn't work. When the region and phone number are written (100% correctly), single use code doesn't get to his phone.
3. Security info cannot work because he never sent message via Outlook, he doesn't have any XBox account, credit card etc. associated with XBOX
He just want to remove me from his family or to delete that account so I can freely surf on Mozilla and Chrome (on Mozilla I cannot visit any page, even Bing and Google due to "This connection is untrusted" message, and on Chrome, restricted mode on Youtube cannot be turned off.

2) Installed Windows live mail 2012
Upgrade to Windows 10 with clean install on 08/08/2015
1) Install Windows live mail 2012 and load original windows live mail folder.
Currently encounter issue such mail content are not linked or different from Subject
These happen when email move to read or certain folder.
I am using Windows Live-Mail.
Can I make the mail items in the Sent/Inbox folder list display the Sender's Name instead of the subject title?
