I recently reinstalled Windows Vista with the recovery disks. It's all up to date (SP2 for an example) and has IE9 (also I use Google Chrome) along with Windows Live Mail. I also added another GB of memory (it now has a total of 2GB) and cleaned out the heat exchanger and it now runs better than ever.

However, after all this I subscribed to a RSS feed in IE9 that I like and would like to see it in Windows Live Mail but for some reason it's says "There are no items to view". I've deleted the MSN feeds in IE so they're no longer anywhere. Oddly I can see my feeds in Windows Side Bar just fine, but not in Windows Live Mail. I've tried syncing all feeds but it does nothing. What could be wrong?

I have been using Windows Live Mail for a short while and seem to have had some sort of disaster. The mainstream accounts and folders are ok. My problem lies with emails I imported from my previous laptop running Outlook. Initially everything SEEMED to be fine. Then there appears to have been some sort of event because in the storage folders I see a directory with Recovered files. (I am not aware of any reason for it to need

to recover files). However the REAL problem is that when I open up some of these  folders the directory looks good and all the email subjects etc looks fine. However when I open the individual emails I only see the same content regardless of which email I choose to open. It looks like regardless of which email I try to open it always chooses to open the same one. I hope this isn't the disaster it appears to be. If someone could explain what is happening and how to recover the situation that would be appreciated. I am running Windows 8.

Thank you

OK Community, I have been going round in circles it seems since attempting the upgrade to Windows 10 but have had problems so reverted back to Windows 7. I believe my problems started here.

When I launch WLM an information window now always appears on my screen that it is "recovering the WLM database" and then the WLM opens. All appears to be OK but I just wanted to check on of my listed email accounts however there are no "properties" shown when I go to the account/properties or right-click on the account title and go to "properties" from the sub menu.

I do a bit of reading up to try and see what the problem might be, I try uninstalling and re-installing the Windows Live Essentials package but every time I then go to open my WLM I see exactly the same details, nothing has changed??

I then try to tidy up my storage files and find that some of the folders I created cannot be deleted. I navigate to the Windows Live folder on my C drive and delete them manually from the "storage" folder. I then do a registry clean up a couple of times (using Registry recycler) then do a repair on the Windows Mail (via control panel/programs). I then go back to the WLM and hey presto, nothing has changed - It is still exactly the same with the "dead" account and stuck folders I cannot delete. I also still see the "recovering database" window. Also while in this folder I find the relevant folders associated with my email accounts and in the folder for my "dead" account I see that the "oeaccount file" is not there and deduce this is the cause of my problem but how do I fix it if this is a randomly generated series of data created when the account is set up?

How can I completely remove all data connected to this application and start again from scratch? I have managed to export the emails I wish to save so not really worried about anything else.

W10 caused several problems with my computer.  I reverted to W7, now all my emails are duplicated, and I am unable to bulk delete - error message "Unknown error has occurred".  Thanks Microsoft, I now have 15k emails in my deleted folder, which I am unable to delete.

I also had an old printer working, which I am now unable to reinstall on W7 (it worked fine before).  I have spent many hours seeking to resolve these issues without success.  Will Microsoft compensate me?

Why did the "upgrade" to W10 remove all restore points, so I can not even restore my computer to the earlier settings?  This is unconscionable conduct, when will Microsoft address these issues?

I just bought a new Laptop with Windows 10. Just plugged it in and wow windows 10 is a bit different. I am running windows 7

on my current laptop and need to transfer my windows live mail email accounts and folders to the new Laptop.  Can anyone help with this?

I am able to login to Windows Live Mail with my email and password, but when I try to send/receive mail to sync my account, it asks for my username and password. I enter my email and password, but it will not accept it. I am able to access my email just fine in the web browser. I'm wondering if there is an error in my server settings for a Hotmail account. Please help.

Since I upgraded to Windows 10, Live Mail does not work at all for me. The program just does not respond. I have tried repairing it, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that does not help. Any advice? I am not a computer expert.
