Windows Live Mail FAQ
I've been using Windows Live Mail for my gmail address since I got this computer with Windows 7 a few years ago.
But, when I upgraded to 10, my email address book appears to have disappeared. I had a huge book. How do I get this back? I NEED to be able to get in contact with those people!
On my win 10 OS, I uninstall windows live mail using REVO Uninstaller. Did a hard shut down. Booted up and tried to install Win Live Mail.
Received a message saying Win Live Mail already installed. A search of Hard Drive showed not there. Any suggestions?
I tried to attach a wallpaper from an old phone into an email on Windows Live Mail to save to new phone and it continues to try and resend when it won't go through. This is error I get and I can't figure out how to just delete the three attempts.
Error Delete the photo email, create a new one, and try to send it again.

Currently I have thousands of deleted mails in the deleted mail box.
How can I get rid of those without getting the message: an unexpected error has occurred?
I have recently upgraded to Windows 10, my Hotmail account works fine but my husbands @live.co.za account will not sync. I get an error 3204 and nothing else. This is most frustrating and I need to get this solved as soon as possible.
Hoping someone can tell me what to do to rectify this problem. I have removed the account and re-added it to see if that would work. Needless to say it has not worked.
Windows Live Mail (WLM) will not allow an attachment to be deleted when WLM is the email browser for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
I have tested this on 5 different computers all using WLM as the email browser.
PC upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10
2 PC’s with Windows 8.1
2 PC’s with Windows 7
The two PC’s with Windows 7 allow attachments in WLM to be deleted.
The PC upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 will no longer allow WLM attachments to be deleted. Before upgrading to Windows 10, attachments could be deleted.
The two PC’s with Windows 8.1 will not allow attachments to be deleted in WLM.
When you try to delete a WLM attachment in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, the screen goes pale and freezes. WLM then has to be closed and re-opened.
I contacted Microsoft Support and was given the answer that Windows Live Mail is not a supported program and that I should switch to Microsoft Outlook.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
I am unable to receive any emails. A message is appearing in the top right hand corner saying that my service is unavailable. I can send emails but no replies are showing back in. I cannot move emails into folders etiher they just freeze. Please help, I have been without this service for nearly 24 hours and have some urgent work to complete!
