My windows mail program, calendar, calculator, don't open. However my Xbox program, my People program do open. Whenever I open my mail, calendar, and calculator the opening window shows up for about 5 seconds and then the window just closes by itself. I tried installing windows essentials 12 from online but when I opened the Windows Live Mail an old version of the mail program which was for Windows 7. This problem has been going on since I upgraded to Windows 10. All these programs opened when I had Windows 8.1 and worked normally but I very rarely used them. Now they do not work at all.

[Original title: Windows Essentials Error]

I, as well as my father, am having the same issues. I have contacted Microsoft twice and the first time I was told that it had nothing to do with reverting back to Windows 7. The second time they tried to fix the issue and were unsuccessful. They gave me a web address and a phone number. I am now staying up all night just to deal with this issue. I have tried all the "solutions I have seen on this site, as well as some of my own and nothing works. If I get a solution tonight I will let you all know.

Running Windows 7, 64bit.  Windows Live Mail.My Live mail program flashed a message on the screen, which disappeared to quickly to read, however all of my email storage files disappeared and were recovered when the mail program was restarted . . . or, they appear to have been recovered, as the files are listed in each folder.  However, when you click on any given message in the folder they all come up with the same meassage.  When I tansfer a current email to the folder it too becomes the same message for all of the files.  It appears that the files have been recovered, as this is not true for every folder.  Some folders work just fine and each message comes up independently.  I have some very important data in those storage files and need to access each message.  Has anyone experience this problem?
I do not care for or wish to use windows live mail.  I have searched the sites for answers but found none.  Just tell me how to uninstall this program and please do not, like all the answer people on here do, try to talk me into correcting issues.  All the answers I have seen from moderators is how they can help fix and not remove, and still not answer the question asked.  On top of all this, Microsoft won't allow me to post this where it needs to be, it limits this post to an incorrect answer.

When receiving email from various sources, my computer adds the word subject into the subject field of the emails. It looks like:

Subject: (Then inside the form field) Subject: Whatever the line reads.

Most of this is generated by spam mail, however, it happens with some of my contacts. When I ask these people if they have typed "subject" into the subject field they say no. I have seen someone send me a normal email and it show up with the double subjects.

I've searched on-line for others with the same problem to no avail. Please help.

I need to to know how and where to save what I have in Drafts in WLM.

I have to uninstall and re-install WLM.

I hope you can help. Thanks.

Windows 7 - Windows Live Mail not working -

First my messages were not being sent outbound -

WLM error 0X800CCCOE

SMTP

PORT 465

SOCKET ERROR 10061

CONNECTION TO SERVER FAILED

I then moved my message back to the inbox, opened it and sent it again - now, for the past 3 hours, my message is still sitting in the

OUTBOX - TASK TAB SAYS "send message - status shows executing - and the message is just sitting there.

I called ATT/U-Verse and they say its a Microsoft problem and gave me an 800 but the jerks at MS just hung up on me - never any help from this company anyway, why am I not surprised.

So I went to the microsoft.com/support site (another big joke) - nothing there to help me.  When I tried to follow instructions and go to START to do the next steps, the error box message with my email just sitting there going nowhere, doing nothing, kept appearing on my screen.

START, WINDOWS LIVE MAIL, TOOLS, ACCOUNTS - I have been trying for 35 minutes and I cannot get there from here.

Can somebody tell me how to fix this stupid problem so I can use my email again?

What horrible changes/updates has Microsoft done to my computer this time to wreck everything and how can it be fixed?

HELP! HELP! HELP!  outgoing message still just sitting there

If I click no and send just as text, the invoice  has some lines

not quite in the right allignment

I have Windows Live Mail 2012 and Windows 10.  Windows Live Mail has a feature import and export.  Sometimes export works and sometimes it does not.  You must keep doing it over and over to finally get all your folders to export.  OK, I can deal with that problem.  But the import is a whole other story.  You can import but your folders, like mine, are under my default email and that is exactly how they export.  But when  you import those exact same folders they don't go under your default mail like they were exported.  They go to the bottom of the list under about 8 other emails account under the heading of "Imported Folders"  How do you get those to import in the same structure they were exported as.
