I tried to set up Live Mail on a Windows 7 computer so that it synched with my Hotmail account and it worked flawlessly.  I removed my account and then tried to add my wife's Hotmail account and it returns error codes 3219 and 0x8DE00005.  After trying the various permutations, my Hotmail synchs whether or not hers is included and hers gives that error message whether or not mine is included.  I restarted the computer between modifications and the problem persisted.

Windows Live Mail and Windows Essentials are getting on my last nerve!!

My Windows Live Mail  got messed up and I was getting more and more messed up trying to fix it so I decided to start from scratch.  However, I cannot seem to uninstall Windows Live Essentials.   It still appears in my programs list even though it successfully uninstalled!!

I think on one computer I have Windows Live Essentials (which I guess had windows Live Mail 2010 or 2011)?  The other computer has windows Essentials 2012 which I also cannot uninstall (or delete the files).

I cant even open Windows Mail on either computer anymore as it says there are files missing. So I guess they got partially uninstalled.  When I try to re-install it bombs.

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.

Live email works fine except the NEW MAIL NOTIFICATION SOUND. It worked fine for the 1st week or so. I have gone into "sounds" through control panel and I can browse and test the sound and it works fine so it's not my computer. And YES, I have the play sound box checked under the options tab.

thanks

I have windows 10 and need to transfer everything (mail, contacts, folders etc., in Thunderbird to Windows Live Mail. Any suggestions how to do this? Thanks. Murray

Whenever I send a photo with an email attached, the is returned as either undeliverable (with original text converted to mumbo jumbo or the email is returned to me as a PDF and broken into several emails with no image (see image below). This started happening a few months ago. I did repair Windows Essentials, but it did not help.

Hello,

I have recently downloaded windows mail because I need to set up a new work account. I created the account but then I receive the following message:

Unable to send or receive messages for the **********(admin) account. The connection to the server has failed.

Server: '*************************.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10013

My Incoming Port is 110

My Outgoing Port is 587

I have unistalled Norton firewall.

I have uninstalled all Windows Essentials including Windows Live Mail.
I have downloaded and reinstalled Windows Live Mail.

I have followed all the instructions in the replies to various community messages.

I am still unable to Send or Receive email.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have updated my HP laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The problem I am having is Windows Live Mail. All three of my accounts are still there after upgrade to 10, but when there are emails are to be receive I get the error 0x800C013E. I only get this error when there are emails out there to get. When I download all emails on my Windows 7 computer then on my laptop it will have all green arrows showing that it did download as long as there are no emails to get. I have no problem sending only receiving. As long as there is an email out there for one of my email accounts it will not download. All I get is a red X. The other two accounts will have a green arrow. How can I fix this errors, as I do take this laptop with me on vacations? The server port has been entered correctly. and also incoming port is correct.

My in coming mail server is pop3

Thanks Ronald campman

Hi,

I have Asus Vivo book V550/ i7 and I upgraded to windows 10 almost one month ago, since that time I always have problem with live mail application.

It runs very slow and took long time to sync for new mails, and sometimes I have to close and open the app to see the new mails. when I try to send an email it get worse, because it opens the new mail window but not working at all, couple of times closing and opening did not help because it still not working. Definitely this application has problem and I reported in feedback center but still there is not any update or improvement from Microsoft.

please do something.

Thank you

Mehdi

How do I read my saved Live mail messages if I have switched to Outlook.com. with windows 10. Do I need to download Windows Live mail 2013 and just use it as a reader of those saved messages and not a send and receive?
How can a Contacts Group Category be deleted?
