quotation marks key (' and ") shows on received mail as question mark inside a dark diamond shape.
How do I correct that?
I have tried different keyboard language settings.
When I shut down my live mail, all of my folders emptied. I had some important messages that I was keeping. Don't know how or why they vanished. Is there any way to retrieve them?
A couple of weeks ago I upgraded to Windows 10 and discovered that Windows Live Mail had been corrupted..it did not longer worked. I had been using Windows Live Essential 2011 so I tried upgrading to Windows Essentials 2012 but it still didn't work.
I have a couple of posts here regarding that problem..eventually I gave up and reverted back to Windows 7 but Windows live still did not work and I could not reinstall it.
Long story short, I have FINALLY reinstalled Windows Live Essentials 2011. I can download and read email but now I cannot send a new email, reply to email nor forward an email.
When I open Windows Mail I get a long message box that starts "failed to initialize Shared Canvas: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly..." It is a big message!
If I try to reply to an email I get "Failed to initialze Shared Canvas: System.InvalidOperationException: Passport library was already initialized to [Production] environment..."
I have tried running wlarp to repair all windows Live programs..it said it was successful but it is still not working. Please help!

When in explorer window I try to "open" a saved .eml file. Error message pops up with "windows can't open this file: File: ~.eml". Have attempted to change / set the default program using right-click menu "open", doesn't work, then "properties" and
selecting Windows Live, and that does not work either. Very stumped.
I want to be verified!
Email works just fine. How do I go about getting verified?

My WLM does not save or recognise my passwords. I can log in to both my POP3 account and Live.co.uk via google ok. But when I open WLM it asks me to sign in each time. It recognises the password for the pop3 but not the Live account. The setting are correct.
Also I can sign on to my PC ok but have a message in the Action Centre to entre my most recent password. This takes me to accounts where it asks me to verify my identity. It shows the Live.co.uk but and my name ok but the password is not seen. I changed the password via MS Account using the code ( twice now) no help.
Sometimes I get emails (NOT in plain text format) where part or all of the original message no longer shows, once I have clicked on the reply button. I presume it is obvious how undesirable and inconvenient this is. Can anyone suggest a remedy ? Win7

when I log into windows live mail i,m only getting the storage folders and the outbox coming up . Cant find my inbox.
I had problems after upgrading to Windows 10 - Windows Live Mail Error 0x8DE00001 er code 4102 and 0x8DE20003 er code 3204 etc.

Still had problems
Uninstalled WLM (and Windows Essentials) thinking I could download and reinstall WLM but can only find current Windows Mail
I had 10+ emails addresses that I could move emails between and need that feature.
Also seem to have lost subfolders of folders in main email address.
Again, where can I download the old WLM separate from the newer Windows Essentials?
