I've had no problems with Windows Live Mall on Windows 7 until I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and went back to Windows 7.  Duplicate emails down loaded when on Windows 10.  Now in Windows 7 I cannot empty the deleted items or junk email.

When I try to delete an individual email or a group of emails from these folders I get the message "an unknown error has occurred.

[Original title: Windows Live Mail]

The guy at the computer store could not get Windows Live to download on my new Windows 10 either.

I would like to start from scratch and download windows live to my computer, but I cannot find any listing for downloading windows live to Windows 10.  Is it now longer offered?

Firedog sent a helpful reply and I sent him a copy of the error message. Haven't heard back yet. Still have a problem. Password works for awhile and then it tells me that it's not valid. Same thing with Window's Live Mail-- good for awhile and then not. When I try to get an item on my I Pad, it works the same way--good for awhile and then, doesn't work. Frustrating. Seldom happens w/ other E-Mail Address inboxes. Why can't it stay fixed? It doesn't help to check "save my password." Thanks for any answers.  Ron

Since installing windows 10, Live Mail is throwing up the following error message on some of my monitored email accounts but not all.

Unable to send or receive messages for the *************** account.
Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003

It seems to be random whether an account works or not, some being live.com others outlook.com etc. They work fine on the Live.com website so I know the passwords and configuration are right. They also worked perfectly before the upgrade.

I have tried the various regedit solutions - the one that goes:

        Browse to the location:

        ComputerHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindows LiveCommunications ClientsSharedPolicies

Please delete the key marked "ssl.live.com_MBI_SSL" and restart Windows Live Mail

doesn't apply as I don't have that key. Only: messengerclear.live.com_MBI_KEY_OLD

I have also tried the download "fix" from Microsoft - no change.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

When I send an e-mail and then check in the sent box if it is there, I get the following message:

'Your server has unexpectedly terminated the server connection....

Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.

Configuration:

Please advise what to do.

Thank you.

I have been using Live mail "forever" but since my provider TDS switched from gmail hosting servers to their own tds hosting servers, I get this error. It stopped for several months but now is back

EVERY time I try to open an email, I get this error, but then the email IS open

EVERY time I try to send an email  get the same error

EVERY time I try to refresh (send/receive) emails I get the same error

I have 2 email account in Live Mail:

TDS and Hotmail. The Hotmail NEVER has this error; TDS constantly

I run WIN7 Home Premium on Desktop

I run WIN7 Professional on Laptop

My husband runs WIN7 Home Premium on Desktop

We BOTH get this error therefore I have to believe it is TDS's problem causing it

I checked memory and these are the numbers for my desktop:

Total              8102

Cached          3802

Available       3763

Free                    0

THANKS for any help---this time consuming interruption is driving me crazy

I am using Windows Live Mail 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331) in my desktop(Windows 7 Pro) for my mails(POP3) and it works fine. Now i want to use those mails as well as in my laptop. so i am going to use IMAP but i cant find any tab or setting for IMAP in Windows Live Mail 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331). Please Help me what to do.....

I have two Hotmail.ca accounts that I have been using Windows Live 2012 using Windows 7 for a few years now without issues.

Recently I have been unable to delete using the delete button on either account.

If I use Outlook or another email client everything works.

I setup my account on a new computer that is also using Windows 7 and have the same issue.

I then setup a new account on the old computer using Windows Live 2012 and everything works.

To me it looks like the hotmail.ca accounts are somehow corrupted but I have not found a way to fix it.

All suggestions will be appreciated.

Since moving to a new laptop, and installing Windows Live Mail 2011, I find that I cannot receive emails on it.  I can send but cannot receive.

It gets worse.   Even on my old laptop I am faced with a sign on text box which does not recognise my name or password.  I have simply selected <CANCEL> and proceeded as normal.    Since moving to the new laptop it too will not recognise my name and password.  Despite a message in the text box to say that I cannot send or receive messages, I can send them.  I tested this by sending them to myself.  They are picked up on my Kindle okay, AND my old laptop, but not the new one.

Why?

I suspect that the answer is to ditch Windows Live Mail and move to another client [or whatever the correct terminology is].

I would be reluctant to do this as I felt comfortable using it for the last five years or so.

Hi.

Until yesterday, my emails were working fine. Then all of a sudden, I couldn't send. I am receiving emails, no problem, but sending is a problem. Messages are just sitting in my outbox.

Error message reads as follows:

Unable to send or receive messages for the LEDGER OFFICE account. The connection to the server has failed.

Server: 'mail.ledgersystems.co.za'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10060

Can someone please assist me with this problem?

Thank you
