I logged into my Hotmail account from my desktop. I saw a message that my account has been auto upgraded to Outlook Preview, but all my Hotmail emails and folders are missing. I have no clue what had happened. My Hotmail account was working fine till yesterday.
I then logged out of the Outlook account from my desktop. I tried logging into my Hotmail account from my laptop, and I saw my Hotmail account is working fine and all my mails are intact. I logged out from my Hotmail account from my laptop.
I tried logging into my Hotmail account from my desktop again and found no mails.
From a different mail account I sent a test message to my Hotmail account. It is not received in my Outlook account (formerly Hotmail account) that I'm able to login from my desktop. But the test mail was received in my Hotmail account that I'm able to login from my laptop. I don't know how long I have until my old Hotmail account that I'm able to login from my laptop get auto upgraded to Outlook account and I lose all my old mails permanently.
It's just weird. Please help resolve the

Can anyone tell me how to delete mail from the optusnet server whenever it is imported into windows live mail

Hi all,
I have an issue with attachments in mail from Windows Essentials running on a W7Pro. I've installed Office Home 365 (15.0.4763.1002) and when I try to open a small (17kb) Excel attachments in mail I get an error (no error number - just text) saying that the computer doesn't have enough RAM and/or diskspace... which I do. (+2 GB RAM available and half the HD is empty (SSD))
BUT, if I open and minimize Excel and then try the same mail, same attachment - it opens just fine.
Thoughts/tips?
BR,
Mattias
I am using Windows 8.1 - however the Outbox in Windows Live Mail 2012 has stopped working. I cannot send emails even though when I click on Outbox it shows there are no emails clogging the system. Can anyone please help
Sheila
My problem is twofold, first:
On Monday, Oct. 26, I was reading my email when all of the sudden I watched the folders I created and stored under "storage folders" in the folder pane in WLM just disappear. Never had that happen before. I learned I could use Ctrl Y to view all created folders. In fact, my folders where there. Additionally, several other "folders" that I did not create and had strange "names" also appeared there. When I selected the folder I wanted to view from the dialog box the folders reappeared on my email homepage in the storage folder pane. Every time I logged on to my email I had to repeat that process (ctrl Y) to see my folders again. Annoying but, ok, they were not lost to oblivion. One day this week when I logged on my folders were mysteriously there, I didn't have to repeat ctrl Y process. Great.
This leads to the second problem: today I attempted to clean-up that messy-looking storage folder location and started deleting folders that I did not create. All was fine until I came to a folder labeled "Storage Folders (1) (1)." When I deleted that folder (a dialog box did pop up asking me if I was sure I wanted to permanently delete this folder) it subsequently permanently deleted all the other folders I had created. How was I to know this would happen? It didn't happen when I deleted the other folders I hadn't created. I can't find them anywhere. In system restore it reads that deleted folders will not be replaced/restored. Please HELP. I am only moderately tech savvy (in case you can't tell.)
I have set up and used Windows Live Essentials on my home computer and my computer has crashed and is unrepairable. I've added several email addresses to it and have stored files within those emails.
How do I access the stored folders that are not the Windows Live emails?
Can I restore them on another computer?
