I can sign into my account via windows mail, however upon changing my password for two of my account; suddenly, all my accounts come up asking for a password whenever I attempt to download my mail. I can sign into my individual emails via the internet, however, with windows live it's a total mess.
I have attempts to perform a repair via the control panel and the uninstall feature to repair this issue. No luck for the problem still persists.
In addition, I am runing windows 8.1 and I have two separate accounts on the same computer; however, whenever I go into the other user account, and use windows live when I return to my primary account all the email accounts and emails doubled. All this took place before the password issue.
Can someone please help because I am truly ready to uninstall windows live and move one.
Running Windows Live Mail 2012 build number 16.4.3528.0331. I would be forever grateful for whatever assistance you can provide.
I have dozens of questions.....and am pretty sure I wouldn't understand the answers anyway. I can't believe, with ALL of the usability takeaways moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10, that there was a business case for this product. I've owned it now for almost three weeks, and still I'm at a point where I have no idea how (or why) to:
Sync anything......I continually get little "not synced yet" messages......no solutions. I use a single computer, don't need to link it with 17 "other devices".....just want to browse the internet and use the mail facility.....not normally hard to do........but on Windows 10, IMPOSSIBLE.
I can't create folders to store important emails in (except once in Outlook when they then magically appeared in my mail area....but they won't do it anymore.
I can't send mail to any of my contact (groups) because the groups never appear in my email....I know they're on the system somewhere, but there's no way to find them...........(maybe the magic "sync fairy" just hasn't found them yet).
I could add many, many other items here (including the non-standard editing capabilities on this page). But to say I'm frustrated with this pile of worthless software would be a gross understatement.
One last question.......has anyone at Microsoft ever heard the terms........Usability.....sub-second response time........ergonomics.........applied social science......or even logical or straight forward? I'll bet not.
Keeps telling me a password is required. I have had the same settings forever. HELP>

Live Mail 2011 is showing emails with .txt and .htm attachments, How do I revert back to seeing the content in the preview window? I read something about emptying the search history This problem suddenly started this morning. Everything was fine then not fine. My husband seems to think that there was a malware scan this morning - sorry about the large text I can't make it smaller

After recent contact with Microsoft I was told Windows Live mail is not supported, my computer tech said it hasn't been for quite a while.
I wondered about the advantages of going to Windows mail from WLM in Windows 10. Tech told me today that he has been asked to remove Windows mail recently from clients that have moved to Windows 10, he has switched them back to WLM.
Is there any tutorial / comparisons of the two, and can you run the two together eg; emails going to both ? I am a ISP client and not on hotmail
