I have successfully imported my Inbox messages to a Gmail account but only 9 Sent messages turned up. It seems that you need to have an IMAP enabled account to import Sent messages so I thought I would use Windows Live Mail to import them in case there was some sort of interference with the already partly-populated Gmail account. HOWEVER, when I try to import using WLM, I get a logon request for pop.tiscali.co.uk which has my Username filled in but asks for a password, which I have forgotten. Rang up TalkTalk who say they have NO access to that password (???!).

Please, can anyone help me before my transfer to another ISP takes effect and I lose all my old Sent messages?

I have 3 gmail accounts in my Windows Live 2011 (OS Win 7) on my desktop pc.

They have all worked well for years until 13 November 2015, when from this date two of the accounts did not save any e-mails in the "sent mail" boxes (one account did but this wasn't the default account). This was also the day after I updated about 11 Windows security updates including KB 3097877 which from internet chatter appears to have caused problems to Outlook.

If I send e-mails direct from the two gmail accounts, either on my phone, by tablet or laptop etc, the e-mails appear in the "sent mail" box on my pc!

I made no changes to any setting, in either Live Mail or Google mail.

I've also tried "resetting" the IMAP folders in Live on my pc, but that hasn't worked!

I have also tried uninstalling KB 3097877 but it is obviously linked into another security update and re-installs itself on restart.

Anyone any suggestions?

When I downloaded Win 10 I lost my emails in Win Live Mail. I have reverted to Win 7 but still cannot access Win Live Mail. I have endeavoured to delete and reinstall but on reinstall I receive error message 0x80070643 sourceWLXsuite Could not install also "could not update to latest version of messenger" error0x80040609 sourceSOE-definitions.

I have tried just downloading Win Live mail to avoid the messenger problem but cannot seem to isolate this programme only.

Not sure if relevant but think my previously loaded version of Win Essentials was the 2011 version. In attempting to download this version I seem to get all fouled up with "Mesh"?. and it doesn't work either

I am getting the message "unable to send or receive messages for the MSN account" "Server Error 4201" "Server https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/sync.aspx.WindowsLiveMailErrorID:ox8D600002"

I can access my Hotmail and get the messages but no send or receive messages in Windows Live Mail 2012. Also the "Sent" file disappeared.

I can't send or receive email.  The pop up asks for my password but it doesn't work.  How can I change the password?

I am unable to open attachments in Windows Live Mail.  This function worked until about two weeks ago and just suddenly stopped.  I made not changes to any setup.  The answers I've seen on this topic previously are too technical for me to follow or I have different versions of the OS or software.  I'm running Windows 8, Office 15, and Windows Live Mail 12.   I even had my technical guru to make an office visit, and he was unable to resolve the issue.  I am also unable to open Word or Excel documents from downloaded files from the Internet.  Very frustrating and an efficiency killer.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

I have a sync issue with an ics calendar.  It does sync but the interval seems very random often taking a couple of weeks to sync. is there a way to force live.com to fetch updates?

I am trying to send an email to 100 members of my fishing club. This email has an attachment with it called: “MBA Member Occupation Summary-15 November 2015”. This attachment is a PDF file and is only 650 KBs.  I have sent this message out before a few months ago with no problems.  When I try sending this message, I keep getting a Windows Live Mail message that says: “Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks.”

“An unknown error has occurred.

How can I have the Windows Live Mail let me send out the messages I want or need to send out to my friends and others – and in particular the  “MBA Member Occupation Summary-15 November 2015” message?  I do not originate any SPAM messages!

This appears to be the only attachment I cannot send out; other attachments go out OK.
