New titleI can receive but cannot send emails on Windows Live Mail

Hi. I was unable to open one important (unsent) email in my draft folder. A flag popped up saying "A problem has occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again." ... I googled this wording and found this post. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-email/a-problem-has-occurred-while-trying-to-open-this/3b1b82dc-2543-416d-b8f1-9f0c1269d506?auth=1&rtAction=1450067816668

The reply to barry paton suggested that: "Mail.MsMessageStore file was corrupted. Please follow the steps below on how to repair the file:"   I did. Now I can't open my Windows Live Mail program. After several seconds of trying to open, a flag pops up: "Windows Mail could not be started. The application was unable to open the windows mail message store. Your Windows Mail mailbox data is currently being used by another program, such as a virus scanner. Close the program or wait for it to complete its operation, then open Windows Mail again. (0x800C0155,2)."

Now what? How do I open my Windows Live Mail program? Can I un-do or reverse the above CMD exe --  esentutl.exe -d "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore" -- if that would do it?

Your assistance is appreciated. Thanks. Gary

Important information about your email service
Dear user,
In a few weeks, we will be making some changes to our email services that might impact your @outlook.com, @hotmail, @live, or @msn email account. Those changes will prevent your email from being delivered to the Windows Live Mail 2012 application you use.
In order to continue using Windows Live Mail 2012 to send and receive email for your account, you need to install the latest update published here.
If you use Windows Live Mail 2012 on Windows 8, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10, we recommend that you switch to the built in Mail app in Windows to stay connected and get the latest feature updates on Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
Windows Live Essentials 2009 and 2011 are not supported anymore, and you will need to update to Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10 and use the Mail app, or use www.outlook.com. To learn more about the Mail app, please click here.
We also recommend all Windows Live Mail users on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 to upgrade to Windows 10 and use the built in Mail application to stay connected and get the latest feature updates.
We suggest saving this email so you can refer to it later.
Thanks for your understanding and continued use.
Sincerely,
The Outlook team

Starting Windows Live Mail, it gets stuck on first email in inbox.  I have tried the repair program, and have uninstalled and reinstalled Live Mail.  Neither helped.
If I change to Windows 10 I will have to use the built in Mail application.  On my current Windows Live Mail I have numerous storage folders where I keep old but essential emails.  How will I access these storage folders from the built in Mail application?

Hi

I use Windows Live Mail 2012 on a Windows 10 machine upgraded from Windows 7. It was working perfectly fine when i received an email from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** telling me that i had to run an update otherwise it wouldn't work in a few weeks time.

I ran the upgrade (choosing the repair button) but it has broken Windows Live Mail. When i hit Send/Receive, the non-hotmail accounts executed fine, but the hotmail accounts took about 15 minutes stuck on "Downloading 0 of 0 headers" ie there was no new mail to download. Having finally executed these processes it got to the Calendar synch and crashed. Each time i subsequently open Windows Live Mail it crashes again. Also, all the Calendar events have disappeared although they are visible if i logon via the outlook website, they are just missing in Windows Live Mail 2012.

I made some enquiries with Chat Technicians but they wanted to remotely logon to my computer! Not sure what world they live in with regard to security. Failing this the only solution is to uninstall and reinstall Windows Live Mail 2012, but surely this will, at best, put me back to where i was with no update to prevent it failing in a few weeks time.

How do i proceed please?

thanks ...

There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.
Hello, I was using windows live mail 2011 in windows 7. I upgraded to windows 10. Now windows live mail 2011 does not work on windows 10. When I click on the icon, it does not open.  How can I fix this problem? I do not want to use Mail in Windows 10 or outlook. I want to continue to use Windows live Mail. Thank you!

Since upgrading Windows Live Mail from 2011 to 2012 and then downloading the new upgrade, my sent emails are not displaying properly. Under the 'To' heading the sender name (my name) appears instead of the recipient's name so I cannot see who the email was sent to.

All of a sudden, I have been getting multiple event entries on my calendar.  The events are all identical scheduled for Sunday from 8AM.
