I'm using windows live mail 2012 on windows 8.1.

I just updated to the 2012 version.

Now when I delete email and leave them in the deleted folder or another folders it Is fine.

But when I get back in to windows live they are doubled. a copy in the inbox and some in other folders.

Please help .

I’m helping a friend import messages and addresses from Outlook Express into Windows Live Mail. There are several Outlook Express .dbx folders, including one called Folders.dbx. But Windows Live Mail doesn’t import all the .dbx folders, only three of them. Windows Live Mail gives you the option to select which .dbx folders to import, but it shows only three of them, even though there are others. None of the folders are designated as Read Only.

I also tried to import the Outlook Express files into Outlook 2010 running on a Windows Vista computer, but it didn’t find the .dbx files. Outlook 2010 doesn’t let you specify the location of the .dbx files and I don’t know where it expects to find them. I tried putting them in C:Users{user name}AppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlook Express, but that didn’t work.

Does anyone have a solution? Thank you.

How do I import my email folders from Windows Mail into Windows Live Mail? I have many emails from my previous Windows Mail and Now I cannot see any of them since I switched to Windows Live. Please help. Thank you in advance!
I installed windows 10 back in September, october and my mail was working perfectly, but today I go to check my mail and I click on it and nothing happens it doesn't open, please help!!!

I accidentally uninstalled windows live when trying to install update, I thought I had to uninstall the old version in order to install new version.

Now I need to reinstall my old windows live. Any ideas how to do it simply as at the moment I have no email access.

I have Live Mail set up on my desktop and my Windows phone.  If I delete an email from Live Mail on my desktop, it automatically deletes it from my Windows phone, too.  I would like to be able to delete from my computer but NOT from my phone.  Is there a setting that will help my accomplish this??  Thank you
Bruce Hagen did not answer my question about Windows live mail.   I AM VERY UPSET!

My computer is running on Vista.  I got a message saying that Windows Live that says:

In a few weeks, we will be making some changes to our email services that might impact your @outlook.com, @hotmail, @live, or @msn email account. Those changes will prevent your email from being delivered to the Windows Live Mail 2012 application you use.
In order to continue using Windows Live Mail 2012 to send and receive email for your account, you need to install the latest update

The problem here is that to install the update I have to be running Win 7 or later.  I can't find an option that lets me get the needed update on my system or a fix so that I will be able to continue receiving mail without the update.

How do I resolve this situation or, if there isn't a way to fix it can someone suggest an alternate program that will work like Windows Live Mail on Vista going forward?
