Can Windows 10 mail and Windows Live mail be installed at the same time?  Are there any issues with this type of setup?

Old PC is windows 7 home premium 32-bit running windows live mail.

New laptop is windows 7 ultimate 64-bit running windows live mail.

Both are using POP3 and receive and send through att.yahoo.com.

The laptop syncs ok for the contacts from the PC.

But I'm unable to migrate the messages and folders from the PC to the laptop.

I followed the export/import procedure from:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/mail-import-backup-restore

I used a thumb drive and created a new folder and exported to that folder.

Plugged the drive in the laptop and started the import procedure.

What moved was incomplete (folders missing, no messages, etc.)

Thumb drive says the folder has only 128kb of info and it is useless.

How do I get rid of the wrong stuff from windows live mail in the laptop?

And, how do I migrate the folders and messages from the PC to the laptop?

I keep getting this error, but there are no updates: There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative

Recently, (I'm not exactly sure since when) my e-mails are not automatically pushing through into my internet hotmail account (I have never used my Microsoft office outlook e-mail account) when open on my lap top. Its a small but very annoying thing when I have a few tabs open and I have to manually refresh each time to get them through. It does still work on my Samsung tablet which makes me think there is something I need to do on my lap top to re initiate this - but I'm not sure what. I use the Chrome browser but my lap top is about 6 years old and am still on Windows 7 I think. Is there anything I can do, there doesn't seem to be anything in the Hotmail settings I can alter. Help appreciated!

Apols - I wasn't exactly sure which category to post this under!

Recently, I downloaded Windows Essentials/Windows Live Mail to my new desktop PC and Windows 10 operating system.  I have been successfully sending and receiving my email messages through Windows Live Mail.  (Comcast.net is my default account and is my host email server).  Then, on December 20th, Microsoft sent an automatic update to my new PC.  After downloading and updating my O/S, my Windows Live Mail no longer works.  I cannot send or receive.

I am stumped.

I cannot send or receive using my @Comcast.net email address

I can send and receive using my @live.com email address

I was forced to update windows live mail 2012 the other day and since then, some emails won't download....they just sit and flash in my inbox (from senders I know) forever.  Also, I have to approve every single email that comes in as an approved sender. is there a quicker way to do this than to approve every single freaking email? LOL   I think I need a new email program!
I imported 6000 emails into my outlook account but do not know how to find them

Since I had to update windows live mail 2012, now all my sent messages show as being sent to me and not the email or person it was actually sent to?

Can this be corrected?

OK, guess I should give more info, using Win7, IE11, Xfinity connect, but using Windows live mail for reading and sending. In one particular case I send a group is 97 emails as a news letter and one email bounces that I have sent to for several years with no problem, I just yesterday sent another group email and it didn't bounce, tried to sent the news letter after the last one went through but it bounced again.......Very strange that one out of 97 won't go through.....

Error code 0x80041161 is identified as an error within windows live essentials and it's recommended to re-install it however the uninstall just hangs and never completes. Eventually a message appears (much later) about such and such a process didn't respond in an acceptable time and then exits when clicking ok and that's it.

Windows online chat with support is useless they claim not to have any tools to fix errors with mail etc.

So in other words Microsoft can issue an update that nukes your existing windows 10 live essentials but has no idea how to fix the problem they caused.

I can find references in the answers to similar questions but they all seem to be concerning 32 bit not 64 bit.

Anyone here have any idea how to proceed?
