My Windows Live Mail 2012 has stopped receiving or sending emails from my Outlook.com provider.  This problem just began today (31 Dec 15).  Any ideas on how to fix this????  Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
I recently updated to Windows Essentials 2012 on my Windows 7 computer. Now, when I go to my "Sent Mail" folder, there's an envelope in the "From" column and my name in the "To" column. If I right-click on the envelope, and go to properties, the information is correct. Any ideas?

how can i edit my profile  to review my original info.  i have problem with password when i want to sign in

I change my browers to Google chrome, but kept my same email address. It is not working right. If I click on a message, all the other messages go blank. What is going on?  I have to sign out and go back in many times.
For some reason, when I click on the button in the scroll bar to go down my message list, it automatically goes back to the top of this list of messages. Very annoying. How do I stop this?

I had been using WLM 2011 for over three years with no problems until a few weeks ago. Suddenly I am not able to create and send a new email message. Instead the message "A problem has occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred. Please try again."

appears every time. Yet I can receive and read incoming messages with no problem. When I pasted this into Google it seems that many other Live Mail users are experiencing the same problem and while some of the suggested solutions seem to work for some there are many others still stuck with the problem.

I have tried many if not all of the suggested solutions as posted on this and other sites as follows,

  1. Uninstalled WLM 2011 and installed WLM 2012.
  2. Run the Windows Essential repair routine.
  3. Tried a 'clean' uninstall and re-install of WLM 2012.
  4. Tried 'Run as Administrator'.
  5. Used the 'cmd' routine.
  6. Used the sfc / scannow routine.
  7. Deleted and re-entered all email accounts.
  8. Tried different port locations for incoming and outgoing mail as suggested by other users.
  9. Contacted Microsoft via the the live chat route.

None of the above worked. Still the problem exists.

Looking at the posting dates it seems this problem has been around for some years without a definitive solution that will work for everyone. Anyone reading this post who has this problem will know how frustrating this is.

If there is anyone who has some new information about this and would share it with the community I think everyone who is burdened with is would be most grateful.

I'm using Live Mail to send and receive Gmail messages. When I send a Gmail message, it appear in both my Gmail inbox and in the Sent Message folder. How can I stop the message from appearing in the Inbox?
