Hi

My gmail account has suddenly stopped working in Windows Live Mail. I've checked the settings and reinstalled the account, but it's still the same. I can send email, I can see the folders, but I can't receive new email, or update the folders with old email. Access for less secure apps is enabled in gmail.

Please help.

I  have checked my server settings but still cannot send email from windows live. i configured a road runner account according to the instructions on the  roadrunner website . the error message is below.

The host 'smtp-server.hawai.rr.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.

My mail app in windows 10 wont download mail from my gmail account (which I used to create my Microsoft account and use to login), but when I add it as a second account, it works perfectly. Several people have suggested that I try enabling calander in my privacy settings, which didn't work.

I am having a problem with Live Mail not being able to receive all incoming messages.  It seems to get locked in a previous incoming message and will not clear out.  Rather, it continues to re-reflect all of the incoming messages that it could receive and then get locked up again with some message from weeks ago.  I do not know how I can go about clearing it.  I am able to receive messages on my iPhone with no problem, it is just with my PC at home.

My Microsoft Live Mail received an auto update and after the update I'm getting the following messages:

When I logged into Windows Live Mail a message said "recovering emails" and discovered that all my sub folders were gone and inbox, deleted items, junk etc were all empty as if I had just established this email account that contained nothing. All my files then showed up under Storage Folders in recovered items in an unorganized manner many of the folder names distorted with numbers. This has happened 3 times since installing Windows 10. I now have recovered files for 3 different dates.
Why is WLM crashing continuously? Come on MS, let's get with it! This seems to be a massive dysfunction at various levels for all users. When are you going to fix it?

When composing a new message, typed characters can be undone using Undo or ctrl-Z but after pasting text from the clip-board, the undo feature does not behave as expected.

It appears as though the pasted content (text, graphic or whatever) is excluded from the undo buffer altogether.

Is there a fix for this?

When I open my Live mail, it asks me to sign in.  After signing in, I can read my mail but if I want to forward anything to my contact list, I have to click the sign on icon on the top menu or else my contact list is empty.  Rather maddening to have to sign twice to have full access.  Anyway to stop this?
