Original Title: Logon/Password Rejection.

Using Windows Live Mail (WLM) with Gmail. I have 2 gmail addresses that work with WLM just fine... Attempted to set up a 3rd gmail address in WLM and I have used the 2 accounts that are already working as a guide. All 3 gmail accounts have their own separate password. When attempting to download into WLM I keep getting the Login/Password Rejection notice. Can anyone help me?

My contacts list in WLM is only populated when I’m signed in.  I want it to remain populated after I have logged out so it is available to me when working off-line.  How can I achieve this?  I’m running WLM 2011 in Windows 10 on an ASUS laptop.

around the beginning of 2015 my windows live mail first on a windows 7 desktop and then on purchase of a new laptop running windows 8.1 I find the same problem.

Since I like to email images direct from a panasonic photo image viewer with messages that only operates with windows live, and not outlook this is a serious issue to me.

I received some notification that windows live was not going to operate at all soon. I just simply do not understand these matters, and if anyone can offer any advice or is suffering similar problems please reply!

Emails were working fine and then it kept coming up with password required.

I'm running windows live mail 2012 in windows 10. When creating a mail, the "to" and "cc" buttons search email addresses whereas it should search the names of contacts. I've checked the contacts file and the names appear correctly in the names field similarly the email addresses in the email field.  Can this be fixed ?
OK kb the keyboard didn't open, I believe the phone interface isn't as clear as it could be.  Now that I have speech to text this wasn't responsive reply: I can get to the folders from the main window in Windows Live Mail .  My question was if there's a quicker shorter way by using Windows Explorer. Thank You.

Hi,

I just installed the latest update to Windows Live Mail 2012 (on Windows 7) which came with Windows Update.

Everything looks normal first, but after a while, the list of e-mails will appear garbled, some letters are replaced by "?" characters.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set up an outlook.com-based e-mail account to use with Windows Live Mail 2012 under Windows 7.
  2. Make sure that only the headers of e-mails are downloaded, not the full e-mails.
  3. Synchronize the e-mail account.
  4. Open one of the e-mails which haven't been fully downloaded yet (I mean, one of the e-mails for which only the header has been downloaded).
  5. Close the e-mail (I open my e-mails in separate windows, not using the preview panel).
  6. Switch folders on the left bar.
  7. The list of e-mails will now appear with the wrong coding, letters like Á, É will be replaced by "?" characters, similar to this: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-email/windows-live-mail-2012-display-sender-in-wrong/2a26ae7b-b580-4d53-9a2a-340ec80ee398

Also the folder of sent e-mails appears badly. The recipient appears to by myself for all e-mails, and there is no date when the e-mails were actually sent. The date appears only when the e-mail is fully downloaded, not the header only.

The issue as a whole is similar to my previous one: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/livemail-files/after-the-update-for-windows-live-mail-2012-my/1d2bb8f6-6799-4486-b281-413996f9c5ac

The situation is not as bad as before (at least I can actually use WLM 2012 now), but I think I will be better off reverting the update again until this issue is solved.

Thanks in advance,

Brumi

My Windows Live Mail 2012 has not downloaded any new email messages or synced since 1/4/16 on my Windows 8.1 PC.  I'm aware that there was a patch, KB3093594, for WLM 2012.  I have tried to install it, but it does not install.  When I tried to download it from the Microsoft site it gives me two options: Repair WLM or uninstall WLM.   I have chosen repair (I don't want to uninstall).  It goes through a little process and then says it completed the repair successfully, but WLM still does not work.  It just hangs trying to download messages...

Cannot receive emails:

I  can send emails but not receive any since Dec. 28th.  I downloaded windows 10, had windows 7, problem started before windows 10.  Have changed my password on my Microsoft acct, but that did not fix anything.  Should I get in touch with Windstream, I have had the same passcode with them for years. I have tried to set up a Outlook acct. but it can't seem to find me. Help, I have had this account for over 4 years, whats going on? I downloaded the Window Essentials 2012.
