Hello,

I went to close my Windows Live Mail and it wouldn't close so I restarted my computer. Well in doing so after it restarting I went back into Windows Live Mail and all my emails and contacts were gone. This happened a few months ago and I found my missing messages in the recycle bin. So I restored them in doing so it created a storage folder. I see some of my emails, however when clicking on the emails it will not open the email and gives me a blue error. I am so beyond frustrated, I have lots of important emails I save and there gone. Can someone please help me???

I've used Windows Live Mail (WLM) since it became available.

I see a "quirk"  that I hope someone can tell me what it means.  It's minor.

On the ribbon where I log in, my profile picture looked like this recently.

  {green border}

Today it looks like this.

{blue border}

It has had a red border in the past.

TIA

Somehow deleted the whole Deleted Items folder from Windows Live Mail.  Thus, deleted mail disappearing entirely.  Tried creating a new "Deleted Items" folder.  This didn't work either.

Finally, discovered the following to restore it:

Under "Tools",  select  "IMAP folders".   Then select "Reset List"  (far right hand side).  Then click "OK".

That's it.  The folder instantly reappeared and is in working order!

Hope this can help someone with the same problem.

Why do I get the following message when I first open Windows Live Mail and how can I fix it:

There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service. If the error persists, check to see if there's an upgrade of Windows Live Mail available or contact a service representative.

When I drag & drop and e-mail onto another e-mail I want to send it appears as a *.pdf rather than a *.eml. This subsequently can't be opened by the recipient or me. Seems to have only happened since Windows 10 did an automatic Update. Any ideas?

Good morning,

Im after so much needed help with regards to my sister in laws account. She (currently living in Australia) text me last week to help her as she all of a sudden can not sign into her account.

She very rarely uses her account but now needs it as she is buying a house, we have tried all the avenues so please DO NOT TELL US TO TRY THIS AGAIN!! She no longer has access to the phone number provided on the account and has only ever had ONE password.

We have tried filling out all the forms they have asked us to which we are supposedly meant to hear back from Microsoft within 24 hours.... this was over a week of trying this so called 24 hours response.

She is now getting desperate to have her account back and running and i can not find another way to get this resolved.

PLEASE, Please can someone offer us a resolve or some sensible advice.

Thank you in advance.
