In case there are encoding problems on this website too, the foreign character I am talking about is the capital A with circumflex.

They seem to appear in place of a certain white space character, maybe non-breaking-space or something like that.

In Options > Read > Fonts... , Encoding is the default "Western European (Windows)"

If, in Options > Read > International Settings, "Use default encoding for all messages" is NOT-CHECKED, then when viewing the problematic messages on screen, the Â do not appear.

If "Use default encoding for all messages" is CHECKED, then the Â do appear all over.

And if I use the "encoding" button at the toolbar of the single-message-view-window, and select "UTF-8", then the Â characters disappear as desired.

Regardless of the whether "Use default encoding for all messages" is checked, the Â will appear when the problematic emails are printed, either to a PDF printer or to a real printer.

It appears that when WLM is rendering an email for printing, it does not respect the settings in Options > Read.  Where can I set the render-behavior for printing?

Since I have windoxs 10 (unfortunately!), I have problems with windows live mail (version 2012) and one of my email account (*** Email address is removed for privacy ***). The error message is:

Impossible d'envoyer ou de recevoir les messages pour le compte XXXXX .

Erreur de serveur : 3204
Serveur : 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Numéro d'erreur Windows Live Mail : 0x8DE20003

How can I fix this problem ?

As it says above, clicking on hyperlinks within e-mails gives error message "Server execution failed."

Why the heck haven't M$ fixed this yet?  It's been going on since Win10 was introduced.

Could someone please post a fix?

Thanks.

Two weeks ago, I changed from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I was using Windows Live Mail to handle my email, but now I have to use Outlook, and I don't like that. How can I get this to change back to Live Mail?

how can I retrieve my password for my windows live mail account?

Using Windows 8.1

Using Windows7 and HP2450 printer/scanner.    Having purchased the HP2450 I found in the small print that scans for email have to go to Outlook.com.     I normally use Google Mail.   I connected to Outlook.com   When I scan a document it goes to Documents although the scanner shows send to email.      When I click email at top of doc.page scanned doc goes to email.

When I click Send on email scanned doc. goes back to Documents again.    Any advice appreciated.

I have just "upgraded" my laptop from Vista to Windows 7. I have attempted to install Windows Live Essentials 2012. Each attempt creates an error message "An unknown error ocurred - 0x80040705. Source: dotNet40". I have disabled Windows Firewall - no difference. I have disabled my Avast Internet Security - no difference. Following an answer to a post on this forum, I have run Fixit which decided that there was no error to fix! Any suggestions please? As I mainly want Mail, any alternative email prog. you would recommend if I can't get Live Mail?
