I am still having difficulty with Windows Live Mail when trying to send messages. I get the following message...

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for the include server problems, network problems or a long period of inactivity.

Your IMAP command could not be sent to the servers, due to non-network errors. This could for example indicate a lack of memory on your system.

Appreciate any help available. thanks  Diane

Since yesterday my Windows Live Mail has disappeared from my list of installed apps (when I had tried to run it I got a message saying it was not installed properly so I thought best to "repair" it).

I then looked in the program folder and it seems all but a few file have disappeared.

I need this back as I have an archive of messages that I can no longer access.

hi everyone my problem is with sending of e-mails.in particular i sent an e-mail with photos attached and it is taking forever to send and i can not find anyway of stopping it sending.any ideas will be appriciated

Unable to send or receive messages for the Live (***********) account.

Server Error: 4102
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00001

What is this? Why do I keep getting it? When is Microsoft going to fix it? At the bottom of this "ask a question" page I'm asked if I want to be notified when someone responds to my post. How is that supposed to happen if I can't send or RECEIVE  emails? Just asking.

I reinstalled Windows Live 2012 and for my imap account I get:  "Downloading the list of folders available on the server.  This may take a few minutes if you have a slow connection.  Downloading list of folders:  21 received..."

I don't have a slow connection.  One of my accounts was set up just fine, I'm on to the second and this is what I get.  How can I get this to work?

I recently purchased new computer with windows 10. I have installed windows essential 2012 16.4.3528.0331.Problem is when i try and open it i just get blue screen with little circle icon going around and it won't load unless i restart computer once i restart it works but last email message won't show it says because live mail did not shut down correctly this message can not be shown.  I have tried to repair it in control panel but says repair did not work properly .

My wife & I use the same computer. Different Desktops. Both use Live Mail, both have Comcast.net accounts. I have confirmed that the settings are the same. Comcast says no problem with her e-mail account. However, I can download my e-mail from my desktop & she can't download her e-mail from her desktop.

The problem started out as intermittent, then became frequent, and now is all the time. I will send the error message if necessary. Error 0x800CCC0F; SERVER UNEXPECTEDLY DISCONNECTED.

Windows updates are automatic. Win 7 Home premium SP1. Live Mail 2012 build 16.4.3528.0331

She can log into the account via the browser, but not via Live Mail. No problem syncing Comcast (web) mail with her smartphone.

1-1/2 hrs on phone with Comcast Tech support to confirm that there were no problems with the e-mail. Then 3-1/2 hours on phone with Microsoft Tech Support in India. After taking remote control of my desktop, the Agent checked various settings and set up a new Live Mail account for my wife, which downloaded 36,000 (yes!) e-mails as far back as 2004 (that took 3-1/2 hours, too)--but (after Agent signed off) the new account won't download any more e-mails. Sending test e-mails from Live Mail works, or at least it did. MS Tech agent also set ports at 25 &110, although he told me over the phone that he was setting up an IMAP server connection, although it shows POP3 on the PROPERTIES->SERVER tab. I can send Word docs showing my settings, her old & new settings, but I don't want to show our e-mails and so didn't post them yet. (I can & will blur those areas if that would help).

My wife has numerous folders on WLM and I don't want to redo all of that (could I save and migrate the folders?). I have:

  1. checked all port settings
  2. reconfigured Norton to not check her e-mails (Comcast does that anyway)
  3. read extensively on the Comcast and Microsoft community boards
  4. re-set WLM through Windows Essentials

The only fixes I haven't tried are resetting the password and deleting/reinstalling WLM or at least that WLM account--that would be a major PITA (Pain In The Neck), and has no guarantee of success.

I'm beginning to think that it's a case of one set of 0s and 1s not liking another set of 0s and 1s--i.e. an unidentifiable incompatibility with no specific resolution.

I'm not a power user, but I'm no neophyte either, and I'm at my wit's end.
