Question about Outlook Express

Hello, I have an email account that was closed. I was on with xbox, and I have an email that I use regularly (hotmail) and another that has my gamertag on it (Live).

I called Xbox, and they said I could merge my gamertag with my hotmail account. 

So, she told me to access the alias account of my hotmail (My hotmail has another xbox account I dont use) She told me to make a 3rd account to drag the unused gamertag to another account, and in doing so, gave me false info that led me to closing my main alias email. 

So now, I'm stuck with an outlook email, my gamertag is safe, but now all my social accounts are pretty much locked. 

Called after to complain, you cant even merge a live with a hotmail account!!!! 

Terrible service, and terrible representative. Thanks Xbox/Msoft.

I know this has been talked about before but some of the links are bad.

When trying to get outlook mail on WLM I get this error.

 Server Error: 3204
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE20003"

Have tried all ideas list here still no good. HELP

Hi,

I am trying to help a friend who turned off their computer mid update causing all sorts of weirdness with the system after it finally booted again. Due to this, we decided a clean install was probably the best move and we did so.

It all seemed to be running well, then I noticed that I could no longer access my old emails in WLM.

I had backed up the entire appdata/Microsoft/Windows Live Mail folder and the account seems to be working fine other than this - new mails downloading, etc. The old messages seem to be there in their folders, I just can't open them.

Selecting an email causes the view panel to say they had "not been downloaded" and attempting to open them (via doubleclick) returned :

"A problem has occured when trying to open this message.  A problem has occured. Please try again"

Needless to say, trying again did not help.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled essentials and repaired it also via the installed programs menu.   -- to no effect

I have used esentutl.exe -d "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"  -- to no effect

I even tried esentutl.exe -p "%userprofile%AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live MailMail.MSMessageStore"--to no effect

Any help is much appreceated.

I have spent many hours on this already and am at my wits end.

My Windows Live Mail Outbox is empty, but when I try to send mail, the system indicates mail is going through and shows a green progress bar that has stayed at the same place for three days. I have switched over to Outlook in the meantime. Does anyone have an answer to my problem?
