I have just got new PC with Windows live. I set up a catergory from address list and it will work immediately, but the next day I try to send out bulk email a response comes back "requies name in to or cc or bcc box" and will not allow emails to be sent out What have I done wrong

Original title: Windows Live emails

i have lost the message that tells me that the email i have just "sent " will be placed in my Outbox , in Windows Live Mail . i find it useful to allow me "think time" , how can i restore it ?

Unread icon changes almost immediately to read. How can I increase the time to even for instance 5 seconds?

I'm aware that the standard reference for backing up (and restoring) WLM messages and contacts is found at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/mail-import-backup-restore

But I'm trying to set up a backup job using a standard backup program that would capture all of a single user's files AND his WLM messages and contacts (under Windows 7), so a how-to for manual export of messages and contacts is not what I'm looking for.

Needless to say, in the event of a crashed computer I want to be able to simply restore WLM messages and contacts in a new installation.

I know how to locate the message Store Folder via the program interface and understand that it is by default at %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\

I understand that the Contacts are at %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts.

I haven't seen any official documentation of this, but will a straightforward backup of those locations (and restore to those locations in the event of a crash) serve my purpose?

By the way, this is for a POP mail account.

I recently changed from a local email service provider to Century Link.  Since then I've had two problems with Windows Live Mail:
1. When I access my contact list from the WLM window, I cannot find a way to return to the WLM window without closing the program altogether and restarting WLM.
2.  When I click on an email address link provided by an email sent to me or by a website somewhere else, nothing happens.  No window appears with that address in the "To" box, as always happened before.  I have to click on "Email message" and type in that address manually.

Can anyone tell me what's wrong, either with the system or with me?

Does the junk feature really work?

I have recently lost all my email folders and messages.  I have followed the recovery instructions and the system appears to have gone through the copy procedure but all that appears in my account are several "Imported Folders" titles but there is nothing in th folders.  Can you please advise ?

When creating a message in windows live mail, I change the color of my print.  At the next part of the text, I want to go back to the normal color.  How do I do that?
I have problems with Live Mail in that it no longer accepts incoming mail. I tried to uninstall so that I could reinstall but there is no sign of Live Mail in the Essential programme to allow me to uninstall. Why can I not receive email and why is Live Mail not listed under Windows essentials/
