I have encountered duplication before when it made sense, such as accidentally editing a word document on both computers. However, the current behavior seems very likely to be some sort of bug.
The base file (without any computer names appended) is listed as available "online only" while the files with the most names appended is listed as available offline. I am therefore guessing that if I delete the files with the computer names appended, I will have to re-download all my files from the Skydrive servers.
Edit:
Desktop is running Win 8.1 enterprise x64
Laptop is running Win 8.0 enterprise x64
I have moved the my domain email over to domains.live.com after our companies previous email and hosting system was comprimised. We had 29 address that had to be imported and 6 of them are being listed as needed to evicted or imported. I imported those 6 but I can't reset the passwords and we are concerned that those account are compromised and we need to make sure we can reset the password and activate the email inbox so we don't loose anymore emails for our business.. I don't have any abilty to reset passwords any passwords and when I try to use the password reset form, it says the account cannot be accessed.
The domain is tzanet.ca
The 6 addresses we can't reset are *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, and *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
Thank you very much for you assistance!
Hi all of you who use outlook.com/outlook live email and live outside the US, have you too tried to sign up for ad free outlook.com (outlook.com plus) and found that the billing address window is limited only to people who have a US-based billing address?
Repeatedly over the last few months I have issues with using POP with Yahoo. Normally this lasted a day or so, but usually cleared up. I have two accounts from which Outlook.com was pulling the mail but both stopped about two weeks ago with "We had an error retrieving your mail from..." I tried deleting and recreating one of the two but now I can't add it at all. It works if I add it as a sending only account so it can authenticate with the SMTP server only the POP server is giving errors. Yahoo claim there is nothing wrong at their end and I can POP it on the desktop, just not on Outlook.com. It's as if there is something in the POP logon which is giving an unexpected result.
Over TELNET the response is (user and password hidden)
+OK hello from popgate-0.8.0.450444 pop101.plus.mail.bf1.yahoo.com
USER XXXXX
+OK password required.
PASS PPPPP
+OK maildrop ready, 0 messages (0 octets) (0)
Which looks ok to me (although it doesn't show the username in the maildrop line)
Any ideas?
I have a number of email accounts which I use for particular purposes to be organised.
I am extremely concerned at the loss of messages especially with no prior warning.
I am a college instructor and have lost very important information.
I did not realise that it is apparently possible to have them retrieved - I hope this is correct.
I would more than appreciate advice as to how to reinstate all messages removed in the change over to Outlook.
I must say that I am disappointed that such action was taken without prior warning or indeed why at all.
I look forward to a positive reply as soon as you are able to do so.
This account is one of my accounts in which all prior messages were removed.
My Thanks,
Ian.
