I can’t send a message to a certain account

I've been trying to send an email to a new contact I've made. But every time I do I recieve this:
"Delivery Status Notification (failure)" And it just says that the delivery to the following recipient has failed. 
I would very much like to know why this is, and if it can be fixed. The account I'm trying to contact is a gmail account, and the message is not spam or anything like that.

Problem Setting Up a New Account

I bought a new Surface 2 and went to set up a new email account under Outlook.  I already have a Hotmail email account for my business.

 

It kept linking the two accounts together  which I do not want.  Now they are together as aliases.  How do I get the Hotmail account to stand alone?

 

Another question - under security I have my old gmail account to be notified if there is a security problem.  When I tried to delete that, I was told that my account wouold be held up for 30 days and could not be used during that time.  How do I take my gmail account (which I am cancelling) off the security notification?

Outlook synchronization

Hi

I use aCalendar (Android App) on my phone and tablet and have noticed that events on my hotmail calendar that are about 2months old, stop showing on my devices, even though they're still on Hotmail Calendar.
I've checked the calendar list and only have a couple. All my events are recorded on one calendar - future, and recent events show up fine on my phone and tablet, but older ones don't.

How do I get the older events to show on my portable devices??

hacked account

Have a friend who had his Outlook account hacked.  Claims they want $120 or $170 to fix it from Outlook.  That screams scam, so I am asking for him from another new account.  Is this legit as a response from Outlook?  Suggestions on how to correct it assuming it is a scam??

Apparently, his password and security questions were changed as well contact info.
