Hi :)

We are having bit of a nightmare trying to figure out what, why, when, how, etc with the current email setup we have at Powerserve.co.nz

A few years ago now, another long past technician set things up like this:


Outlook Account (li****@powerserve.co.nz) - We can login to Outlook.com with this
Forward facing email account = li*****@powerserve.co.nz

The customers email client ()Outlook 2007/2010() uses MAPI to connect to this account, which provides emails from or thru the Outlook service.


Fast forward 3 or so years and we are trying to add new email addresses to the domain @powerserve.co.nz

We create a new Microsoft account and add an alias *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and are told by the web form "you cannot use that domain address, choose another" - So we try powerserve.com and it works just fine.

Currently, the MXrecords look like this
mail.powerserve.co.nz doesn't work as the pref order specifies pamx.hotmail.com as the forefront mail server. Ideally this mx configuration cannot be changed as it would break the existing system
It would seem that perhaps Microsoft have reconfigured their services and the way that this was setup isn't available anymore.
Is this the case?
And if so, is there another way to set this up?

Windows Live Mail 2012 had the yellow triangle error message in bottom right corner of screen where it says 'working online'.  I could tell I wasn't connected to server or getting new emails.  I closed WLM and reopened, now in bottom right corner next to 'working online' it says 'updating calendar' and continues to loop this message.  Anybody else come across this?
I had a template on my pc that was in skydrive but when I tried to see it on my phone or tablet it would not scroll down.

hello i finished a movie in movie maker but i cant seem to send it as email plzzz help even if i add as attachment when i open my email it will not open

I tried to look for an email address by clicking on people but an error message appear.

None of my email contacts show up.

Documents downloaded seem to be automatically by default saved into skydrive. I then need to copy or cut from there to store in a documents folder on my MS 8.1 computer but cant do so as 'paste' function has been greyed out.


Can anyone help with this process?

Hi, since moving to 8.1 my skydrive has not been working.  When in the application, it is locked up with 3000 uploading that never changes and has duplicated multiple files in my documents.  I have deleted everything from skydrive and its still stuck. screenshot attached. How do I start over?  Can I uninstall just skydrive and reinstall?  Thank you for the help!

Just upgraded to Outlook 2013 from Outlook 2010.  I have noticed that I am missing some 15-20 emails that were residing in a folder on the Exchange server.

 

I would like to check the .Ost file that was created prior to the upgrade to see if the emails exisit still in there. Is this posisble? and if so what do I need to do?
