I seem to be having the same problem which was discussed in 2013.  Every time Windows 10 does an update and restarts, I have trouble using the category of specific contacts in trying to send an e-mail.  The contacts are listed in the category at the contact site, but when that contact is selected in the to, cc, or bcc line, there are no contacts there.
