Hi there.
For a couple of weeks I have had this problem. When I try to sign in I am told me password is incorrect. We use a PC and a laptop. My wife and I both use the same Hotmail account but with different Windows user accounts and for the last 3 months we have had our homepages as the inbox page which signs in automatically. Before that we used to login manually every time.
A week ago my daughter checked her own Hotmail account and so logged out of my hotmail account. But when we tried to log back in to my Hotmil account I got the incorrect password result.
So then I click on "can't access your account?", fill in the account name and type in the letters. I have tried both "reset your password" options. The first one refers to an email address which I haven't used for years so appears to be inactive as it tells me it doesn't exist.
The second option is mother's maiden name, which it tells me is incorrect! I can assure you it is not.
So I filled out an anncount recovery request using my daughter's email address, which tells me there isn't enough information to be able to proceed. I have done this twice now. The issue number was 94055230
The strange thing is we can still access our inbox on the pc and other windows user account as it still logs in automatically. If i try to log in from a different computer it won't recognise my password.
So I am stuck and dont' know what to do.
I hope you can help.
Thanks very much
