I have windows 8 and am using windows live mail 2011.  I am able to receive email but not send.  I have a charter email and have verified my settings with charter and they are correct.

I am getting error -- server: smtp.charter.net

I am using IMAP.charter.net for incoming on port 143 and smtp.charter.net for outgoing on port 25
