I recently set my son up with a Microsoft Account (this is not the local Windows Account) in which I used the wrong date of birth. He now has an account which needs age verification. I went thru that whole process several times only to be charged $.50 each time and have a web page come up as having a "Temporary Problem, come back later". Well $4.00 later and a lot of frustration, I just decided to delete that account and create a new one. Unfortunately, in order to do so, I have to complete the age verification process first (see problem above). I have been thru Microsoft phone support (about 3 hours worth) and no one can seem to come up with an answer. Their best solution was to create a different account name (new Microsoft Account). This is not a suitable solution as my son has cognitive challenges; in this case change does not equal good.
I just want to delete the existing account and recreate it - any one have any thoughts?
